What's the Story? In HOOKY:

VOLUME 1, 12-year-old twin
witches Dani and Dorian miss the
bus to magic school. Worried
about what their parents will say,
the twins go in search of a tutor,
only to be inadvertently declared
traitors to their own kind.

With witches like their parents out
for power and blood and non
magical people increasingly
threatened by them, Dani and Dorian
don't know whose side they're on...or
if anyone's on their side. That
includes their brother, Damien, who
disappeared after being crowned
King of Witches.
Volume 3
On a mission that takes them across the
kingdom, friendships are tested, romances
bloom, and the past holds the key to their
future. Dorian, Dani, and all the witches and
non-magical people of the kingdom must
decide once and for all: Who will they be,
and will they use their power and influence
for good?
 Dani wytte

Daniela Wytte, more commonly known

by her nickname Dani, is the female
protagonist and also the poster girl of
the series. She is the middle child of
Hans and Angela Wytte as well as the
sister of Dorian and Damien Wytte.
Dorian wytte

Dorian Wytte – The male

protagonist of the series. Highly
studious and talented at magic, he
is able to produce powerful spells
with ease. Dorian, however, cannot
ride a broom and is significantly
more socially awkward than his
twin sister Dani.
 Monica

Princess Monica is a main

character in Hooky. Introduced
as an entitled princess on the
search for her lost prince, she
eventually becomes an ally to the
witches, and helps Dani and
Dorian on their adventures. She
is Prince William's former fiance.

Prince William, also known as Will,

is major character in Hooky.
Introduced as Princess Monica's
missing fiance and Damien's best
friend, eventually he becomes a
major character who allies himself
with the witches fighting the Wytte
Army. He eventually becomes
co-ruler and king of his and
Monica's kingdoms.
Mark evans

A young son of a baker who works

at his father's bakery. He is kind and
helpful, as well as a childhood friend
(and supposed rival) of Nico. He
eventually befriends Dani, Dorian,
and Monica. Unbeknownst to him,
nico

Nico is a witch and the adopted

son of Pendragon. He originally
thought he was a non-magic
person until he found out that he
is capable of the power of
clairvoyance.
anne

Anne is a loyal friend to

Monica, and does what she
can to support her. When
William was kidnapped, she
did what she could to comfort
her, though she did not want to
join Monica on her quest to
rescue him.
ivy

Ivy is a loyal friend to Monica, and does what

she can to support her. When William was
kidnapped, she did what she could to
comfort her, though she did not want to join
Monica on her quest to rescue him. dani and
ivy aren't exactly very close, but they do
respect and care for each other.
damien

Damien Wytte is a major character

in Hooky. A witch and a member of
the Royal Court, he is introduced as
the older, estranged brother of Dani
and Dorian Wytte. He is also
William's best friend, butler,
aisha
Aisha grew up in the shadow of her older brother, Amir.
Beneath her silent and formal nature is a brave and
determined hero who is willing to do whatever it takes to
protect her people.Aisha
is usually a calm, quiet,
and intelligent person, but can also get
angered easily, similar to how Damien had
initially described her. However in a battle or
any stressful situation, she is very brave and
quick to fight back.
amir

Amir is shown to be quite carefree

in his actions. He doesn't care
much about the repercussions of
his actions or words. However, he
is mature and handles serious
situations well.
Aisha and Amir's mother
She has long, brown hair, dark eyes, and

tan skin. She usually wears long dresses

and lots of jewelry.She is seen as

level-headed and kind towards others,

trusting them easily, but is also not afraid

to speak her mind and act on her

thoughts.
Master pendragon

Master Pendragon is a supporting

character in Hooky. He is introduced as a
witch, specifically a soothsayer, who is
trying to mend the relations between
magical and non-magical communities. He
is the adopted father of Nico, and teacher
of his apprentices Dani and Dorian.
 King george

He was a kind and caring father towards

Monica and a supposed loving husband
towards his wife. He also acted quite kingly,
thinking of arresting Dani and Dorian to
ensure the safety of everyone around him. It
was only that they were both children, did he
change his mind.
Moncas mother
Monica's mother was shown to be
extremely sensitive and emotional at times,
as she was first shown crying over the
disappearance of William. We don't see her
interacting much with her family, but she
was probably very close to them.
 King Edgar
William's father was a very cold and
cruel man. He believed witches were
an inferior and dangerous race that
needed to be eradicated and to
achieve that he had no qualms about
burning alive pregnant women or
children. He showed several times to
be quite stubborn and harsh as he
hardly changed his mind when he
decided to do something and even
threatened his family if they tried to
interfere.
Wills mother
Her personality is very motherly and
caring, being mad when William blamed
Monica for breaking a vase. However, she
doesn't have a lot of patience and is shown
to have a short temper. During the wedding
of Monica and William, she had a 'bored'
expression as a witch called it. She is
shown to dislike her husband, because
after he died when Aisha and Amir's
mother exclaimed he was finally dead, she
exclaimed, "I know right?!" with a happy
face. She was shown to be against
witches, as when William wanted to help
them, she called them 'scruffy."
Angela wytte

The mother of Daniela, Dorian and

Damien, and wife of Hans Wytte: a witch
who once narrowly survived being
burned at the stake and now wants
revenge against normal humans and a
better position for witches.
Hans wytte

Hans Wytte is a recurring character in Hooky.

Head of the renowned and esteemed Wyatt
family, he is the husband of Angela Wytte, and
the father of Damien, Dorian and Dani Wytte,
as well as the younger brother of Hilde Wytte.
He eventually becomes an antagonist of the
series.
Hilde wyyte

Twins Dani and Dorian play hooky when they

miss their bus to magic school. Instead of
returning home to their upset parents, they
decide to ask their Aunt Hilde to tutor them.
Adventures and drama ensue when the twins
are tasked with bringing a prisoner to the family
prison
Prison Warden
The Warden is a stern, somewhat grumpy
character. At first, he is cordial with Dani
and Dorian after they bring him the last
prince he was searching for. However,
once Dorian is caught stealing a dragon’s
egg, he immediately brands them as
traitors, and vows to capture and punish
them. He is not concerned with potentially
hurting them, and even though they do not
escape with the egg, he still is determined
to capture them for even attempting to ruin
their plans.
carlo

Carlo is shown to be smarter than a

normal frog; he has a certain
understanding of the situations
happening around him. He is bold and
sometimes stubborn, but very loyal to his
owner, Dorian, who he likes to please. He
is shown to be jealous of real dragons,
due to Dorian really liking them.
minino

Minino is a very loving and playful cat.

He enjoys to lick and play with people or
other animals he likes. He seems very
loyal to Dani as he always follows her
everywhere, even on her broom.
 donato
Donato – The former pet dragon of Dorian Wytte
. Hilde Wytte – The sister of Hans and biological
member of the prestigious Wytte family. She is
highly intelligent, calculating, and extremely
powerful. Aunt of Dani, Dorian, and Damien
Wytte.
mr . evans

Mr. Evans: Evans is Mark's father. He is quite

strict with his son and makes him work hard.
Mark seems to fear him and obeys him without
question.
alex

Alex is a recurring character in Hooky. Introduced

during the Witches Sabbath Arc as a rebellious witch
alongside her friends Barry and Noah, she becomes an
ally and friend to Dani, Dorian, Nico, and Monica.
berry

Barry is a witch and Noah and Alex's friend.

Together, all three formed a band and
performed in town. He and Noah are also
the publishers of the newspaper "The
Insurgent Witch."

Noah is Alex and Barry's friend. Together, all

Míriam Bonastre Tur
Míriam Bonastre Tur is the New York Times
bestselling author of Hooky and the creator of
the WEBTOON Marionetta. She was born in a
small town near Barcelona and doodled on any
smooth surface before even learning to walk.
She studied comics at the Escola Joso Center
for Comics and Visual Arts in Barcelona. She
has drawn many zines and collaborative comics
in Spanish, and now works as a character
designer in the animation field. She lives in
Spain.

Kamille is typically very calm and
likes to go with the flow. She can
be forgetful at times, but she is
also capable of being very
dedicated and detail oriented
when it comes to the things she
cares about. She has an easy
time making friends and is often
well-liked by her peers.

Dorothy is a very friendly
and outgoing woman with a
bubbly and talkative
personality. However,
readers later discover there
is a layer of secrecy to her
character they were not
aware of.
Robert
Robert is sweet and
sensitive, often looking out
for other people's well
being. He is extremely
empathetic and is often
seen smiling, crying, or
freaking out on others'
behalf.
Finnegan
Finnegan is a supporting
character in Marionetta. He was a
member of the Anthony
Gremminger Traveling Troupe
worked as a dog trainer there.
 Paul Lazarrett
Paul is middle aged and is fairly tall. He

has pale skin, brown hair, and a greying

beard. He typically wears a military

uniform.Paul is very patriotic and hard

working, just like Julia at the beginning of

the series.
 Amalia Steinheimer
Amalia is very expressive and
eccentric, behaving in an
enthusiastic manner when
speaking at a school. She isn't as
strict as her coworker Yerik,
calling him "uptight" when he
says he finds teaching children to
be a waste of his time. When he
complains about the Anthony
Gremminger Traveling Troupe
arriving in Aspett, Amalia replies
with "Let them have their fun."
However, this lightheartedness
conceals a darker and more
sadistic
