Divyanshu - With every ray, better or best

Comes a new beginning different from the rest.
Don't dwell on the past
The hard times won't last.
With every shaft, bright or grey,
Comes a new hope for us to sway.
So, let's look forward to this flow,
And remember it’s we who make even the dusk glow.

Saanvi - School life is full of beautiful moments that deserve to be cherished and celebrated.
Let the colour of today’s event embellish us all together. So, ladies and gentlemen, prepare to
be mesmerised by the vibrant colours, enchanting melodies, and captivating performances
that await us here in a short while. Together, let’s embrace the magic of this cultural
extravaganza and celebrate the timeless spirit of humanity woven by us, The Mauryans.

Sanvi - Aldous Huxley once said “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the
inexpressible is music.”
So, ladies and gentlemen, let us put our hands together for our school choir to let them make
the evening mellifluous.

Harmonised Soiree – Inspiring Vocals

Sanvi - That was indeed a superb musical rendition.

It is our distinct honour to introduce a person whose dedication and leadership have been
instrumental in shaping our school into the vibrant community it is today.
She is not only the head of our school but also a mentor and an inspiration to all of us. Under
her leadership, our school has achieved remarkable milestones, fostering an environment
where students can have a holistic development.
Please join me in inviting the dynamic and compassionate leader of our school, Dr Shalini
Bajaj, to welcome the honourable eminence and address the august gathering for today’s
event.
Aathithya – Welcome Speech by the HOS
Divyanshu - Thank you ma’am for your inspiring words. We are truly blessed to have you as
our mentor.

Sanvi - Lighting a lamp is a gesture of profound symbolism that transcends cultures and
traditions, and it is a beautiful way to usher in hope, wisdom, and enlightenment.
With this we would like to invite our esteemed head of the school along with the honourable
dignitaries to light the lamp and illuminate not only our lives but also the lives around us.
The flame we are about to ignite symbolizes more than just light. It represents knowledge,
the purest form of illumination that can lead us from darkness to clarity, from ignorance to
understanding.
Divyanshu - The Sanskrit phrase “Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya,” which means “Lead me from
darkness to light,” captures the essence of this ceremony. As we light this lamp, may it
inspire each of us to seek clarity, wisdom, and truth.
Ujjalle se Ujjiyalla – Lighting of the Lamp
Sanvi - Thank you everyone.

Sanvi - In Indian culture, the Guru is revered with utmost respect, and the word “Guru” itself
holds a powerful meaning. Derived from Sanskrit, “Gu” means darkness, and “Ru” means
light. A Guru, therefore, is one who removes the darkness of ignorance and leads us toward
the light of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. In the words of the great Indian saint,
Swami Vivekananda, “The Guru is the conveyer of life, who shows the way and guides his
disciples to grow as human beings, ultimately to the divine.”
" Among the celestial attendants (Ganas), you are the Lord (Ganapathi), We offer sacrificial
oblations to you.
You are the wisest among the scholars. Your wisdom is known to be highest quality and
incomparable for its glory.
You are the eldest or foremost of the kings, the Lord of the sacred prayers, rituals and its
performers.
O Lord, come to us by hearing our hymns and be seated in this sacred sacrificial altar "
Sanvi - Through this sacred invocation to Lord Ganesh, we humbly seek his blessings for an
auspicious beginning of today’s ceremony.
Let us all join in the spirit of Guru Vandana and Ganesh Stuti, embracing the aura of
positivity to make our endeavours blessed and prosperous.
Shubham – Inaugural dance
Sanvi - What an ecstatic performance! I assume, it left us all spellbound. Now, let us share
the mic with our friends, Anshdeep and Maulishree.
___________________________
Anshdeep – Thank you Divyanshu and Sanvi
Today, we gather here to celebrate not just a building, but a beacon of hope, learning, and
community—our beloved school. As we reflect on our journey, we recognize the profound
impact this institution has had on each of us.
From the moment we stepped through these doors, we were embraced by a nurturing
environment where curiosity was encouraged, and creativity was celebrated. Our school has
always been more than just a place of learning; it has been a home where friendships
blossomed, dreams took flight, and lifelong memories were made.
Let us remember the achievements that have made our school proud. From academic
excellence to outstanding performances in arts and sports, our students have consistently
pushed the boundaries of what is possible. Each trophy and accolade stand as a testament to
the hard work and determination fostered within these walls.
Maulishree - Now, I take immense pleasure to call upon Kritika and Adishree to present the
Annual Report of the school, Chronicles of Maurya, to apprise you all about the mission and
philosophy of The Maurya School.
Beyond achievements and accolades, it is the sense of community that truly defines our
school. We have laughed together, faced challenges together, and celebrated each other’s
successes. This spirit of camaraderie has forged bonds that will last a lifetime.
As we stand here today, let us not forget the legacy of kindness, respect, and inclusivity that
our school embodies. It is a place where every voice is valued, and every student is
empowered to shine.
Chronicles of The Maurya – School Report
Sanvi - Thank you Sanvi and Rashi. That was surely quite informative.
______________________
Life is a repository of experiences and circumstances, both ordinary and transcendent. It is
the feelings they evoke in us that make us human. In the rich fabric of life, there are certain
emotions which lie embedded in the human system. These define the unedited realities of
life, vibrant through emotion.
Raas is the invisible yet palpable substance that gives life meaning. It is the zest, passion,
emotion and vibration felt by our inner subconscious.
Divyanshu - Vishnu, personify the cosmic function of preservation in the universe.
Krishn in Mahabharata said to Arjun– when evil becomes dominant in society, I will in my
different avatar come to earth to restore dharma.
शुक्लांबरधरां दे वां,
शशशवर्णं चतुर्ुजम्।
प्रसन्नवदनां ध्यलयेत्,
सवुशवघ्नोपशलन्तये।
O lord Vishnu…
"I meditate upon the white-clad deity,
Whose complexion is like that of the moon,
With four arms and a joyful face,
To remove all obstacles."
Coming up next is an enchanting and hypnotising enactment titled ‘Naav Raas’.
Maulishree - ‘Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narsimha and Vamana, Parashuram, Rama, Krishna,
Buddha and Kalki – are the ten avatars taken by Vishnu.
The first avatar Matsya centres around the great sage Manu, who is warned by Vishnu in the
form of a fish about an impending deluge that will wipe out all life. Matsya instructs Manu
to build a massive boat to save himself, his family, and various seeds of life depicting Karun
raas. Also, portrayal of Karun raas can be witnessed in the Kurma avatar as he appears
during the legendary Samudra Manthan, a cosmic event involving both devas and asuras
seeking the nectar of immortality.
Anshdeep - Varaha, the third avatar of Vishnu, takes the form of a mighty boar to restore
balance to the universe. In his Bhayanak rup, with immense strength and courage, he lifts the
Earth on his tusks, defeating the demon, Hiryanyaksh and returning the planet to its rightful
place.
Maulishree - Narsimha, the 4th avatar of Vishnu, manifests as a fierce half man, half lion to
protect his devotee Prahlada and vanquish the tyrant demon Hiranyakashipu, portraying
Bibhatsya rasa.
Anshdeep - Vamana, the 5th avatar of Vishnu, appears as an embodiment of Adbhuta, as he
appears as a dwarf Brahmin to humble the demon king mahabali, who has grown powerful
and conquered the heavens.
Maulishree - In a world where chaos reigns, the 6th avatar of Vishnu, Lord Parshuram teaches
us that true strength lies not just in might but in the heart’s unwavering commitment to
justice in his Raudra roop!
Anshdeep - Courage is not the absence of fear, but triumph over it. Lord Rama, the seventh
incarnation of Vishnu, portrays Veer Raas with his strength of character and readiness of
mind.
Maulishree - While we soak in laughter as we hear the stories of natkhat baal gopal, we feel
elated and delightful to witness Shringar rasa, the king of emotions, as we find ourselves
submerged in the immortal love of Krishna and Radha.
Anshdeep - Om Mani Padme hum
"Hail to the jewel in the lotus."
Reciting "Om Mani Padme Hum" is thought to purify the mind and heart, helping followers
of lord Buddha to let go of negative thoughts and emotions and letting Shantam reign in our
hearts.
Nava Rasa
Maulishree - I still feel lost in those captivating dance performances based on Nava Rasa.
_______________________________
Anshdeep - Only he who can see the invisible can do the impossible.
A school gives such a platform to both the teachers and the students to come together to
weave surprises in their everlasting onward journey.
Hence, it is rightly said that School is a building which has four walls with tomorrow inside.
And of course, we all know that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their
dreams.
Maulishree - To appreciate these sparkling stars and to encourage them to shine in the best
possible way let us begin with the Award ceremony and for that we would like to invite our
head of the school, Dr Shalini Bajaj and our Chief Guest, Mr. Pawan Tayla along with other
dignitaries onto the stage.

Anshdeep - A dream doesn’t become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination and
hard work. Over the years The Maurya has produced a number of excellent students in
academics and co-curricular activities, who, have taken the reputation of the school to new
heights. And what’s the better way to appreciate and congratulate them than awarding them
certificates and mementos of appreciation!
Now, I would like to call upon Jasmine and Sanvi to announce the names of today’s prize
winners.

“I would rather die a meaningful death than to live a meaningless life.”
She continues to inspire millions, teaching them that courage, resilience and the conviction
to protect one’s own are the true virtues of a leader. A leader, who lived, fought and died for
her people was none other than Rani Laksmi Bai, the queen of Jhansi.
Maulishree - “Inki gatha chod chale hum Jhansi ke maidano mein,
Jahan khadi hai Lakshmi Bai mard bani Jawano mein.
Lieutenant Walker aa pahucha, aage baada jawano mein,
Rani ne talwar khichli li, huan dwand asmanon mein!”
Now without any further ado, let us witness the saga of this great, invincible warrior, Rani
Lakshmi Bai.
Rani Laksmi Bai
Anshdeep - We are wonderstruck by the electrifying performance.
