Assignment 2 (50 Marks)
The purpose of this assignment is to test you how well you have understood the components that
makes up a computer. Therefore, you are being asked to document how to build a personal
computer by highlighting and explaining all the necessary hardware and software components
needed. For example, state and describe all the necessary components needed for Input,
Processing, Output and Storage functionalities. Please take note that what you are doing is
basically identifying all the components needed in building the computer and then clearly
describing the purposes of these components.
Your documentation should have the following details:
1. All the necessary Input devices
2. The appropriate Processor needed (type and size)
3. The necessary Output devices
4. Storage components such as the RAM (size and types), Hardrive (size and type) etc.
5. Suggestion of the recommended security measures to be implemented for both Hardware and
Software components.
