Circular for Classes VIII to X (ICSE) and Class XII (ISC)

Welcome to the session 2024-2025!

As we embark on the new academic session, we are confident that our students have settled
well into the new routine. We believe that it's crucial for our students to begin the year on a
strong note and set a good academic precedent. Therefore, we encourage all students to start
preparing for their upcoming exams with dedication and determination. Assessment is a
continuous process which is comprised of Formative and Summative Assessments. While the
formative assessment is part of everyday teaching and learning process, the summative
assessment is based on year-round tests and terminal examinations.

We would like to share some important information regarding the forthcoming session.

Absence during Examination:

• It is mandatory to appear for all school examinations. There will be no BUFFER test.
• If a student is absent for an examination, the student will be awarded Ab in that subject
and the student will not be eligible for an Academic Award in that subject.
• Allowance will only be made if the child has missed the test/exam because he/she is
representing school.

Use of Unfair Means:

Asking, copying, intent to copy or possession of/reference to subject related course material is
deemed as using unfair means. If a student is found using unfair means during a test or
examination, he/she will not be awarded any marks for that subject. This will be reflected in
the assessment report.

Marks and Credits

• The Cycle Tests are for 40 marks each for Classes VIII, IX and X and 30 marks for Class
XI and XII.
• Duration for all exams is as given below:

Assessment Details
• Formative assessments continue throughout the year.
• Project/ Practical files are an integral part of the Assessment system.
• Summative Assessments for Classes VIII-XII are as follows:

Important Information:

• Circulars will be put up on the parent portal only.

• Revision sheets for classes VIII-XII are also uploaded on the portal, a week prior to the
examination date of each subject for Cycle Tests and a fortnight prior for Term
examinations.

• Please go through the student almanac for a detailed understanding of the Code of
Conduct and the consequences in case of a breach.
