FINISHING
Weave in all loose ends. Note: If you
weave in ends along side edges of
earflaps or CO edge of brim, they will
be hidden by the I-Cord edging.

I-Cord Edging
Using dpn and A, CO 3 sts. With WS of
second earflap facing, beg at right-hand
edge of second earflap, pick up and k1 st
from edge of earflap, picking up through
entire st on both back and front sides, so
that sides are joined. Do not turn; slide
sts back to right-hand end of needle.
*K2, k2tog, pick up and knit 1 st from
edge, do not turn; slide sts back to right-
hand end of needle, rep from * around
entire edge, picking up 1 st 3 times in
the same center st at base of earflaps
to turn corner. End approximately 1 st
before beg of I-Cord. Cut yarn and sew
live sts to CO edge, or BO sts and sew
CO and BO edges together. Weave in
loose ends.

Snowflake Embroidery
Cut strand of A and embroider several
snowflakes around center St st section
of brim, 3/4” and 1 1/2” in diameter (see
photo), making sure to secure strands
in center with short st. Cut strand of B,
and work additional snowflakes to fill
in. Weave in all loose ends.
