Guidelines for the conduct of Architecture Thesis (2020-2025)
1. Thesis Log book is formal record for all the Formative and Summative assessments of
B. Arch Thesis from its inception to the final submission.
2. Thesis Logbook has to be maintained by respective guide only and no student have
right to take it under his/custody for any purpose.
3. It is mandatory for all the students to discuss with their respective guides at least
thrice before every external review. Failing to do so he/she will not be allowed for the
external review.
4. This Log Book has to be handover to the panel coordinator one day before the
external review by the thesis guides
5. All the students are supposed to be appear in formal dress code during external
review.
6. This is the responsibility of individual guides to collect all the submittals one day
before the external review and also intimate to the panel coordinate for the same.
7. In case of any issue like discipline, performance, plagiarism etc. all the guides are
suggested to report the matter immediately to their panel coordinator.
8. On the day of external review all the students have to sign their attendance before
9:00 AM, failing to do so he/she will not be permitted to attend the external review.
9. Guides must fill the log book entries immediately after finishing the discussion with
students.
10. It is the bound duty of the student to make notes of the inputs given by the panel
during the review before acknowledging it with the signature. The inputs given by the
panel should be incorporated and updated in the following review without fail.
11. Laptop discussions of both studies and DRAWINGS are not permissible during the
guide’s discussion. All drawings right from single line to pre-final presentation
drawings must be strictly discussed with HARD COPIES of suitable scale along
with all fundamental information.
12. All deliverables required for each review must be approved and signed by the internal
guide before appearing for the external review
13. Students are required to make available of all previously commented drawings and
documents for all the reviews should they be required to be referred.
14. All designs shall comply with relevant statutory codes and regulations and copies of
supporting documents shall be made available.
15. Minimum sheet size for all the reviews must be of A1 and no discussions with
laptops.
16. Final submission shall include an architectural model to a suitable scale.
