THE CHURCH

The church is a committee of true believers or a group of people who believes in

the Lord Jesus Christ for all time. The church is made of people who are truly
saved by Jesus Christ and are called out, and have been separate themselves from
other people for the purpose of glorifying God, who are confessing Jesus Christ as
their personal saviour, and accept that have been redeemed by Christ Jesus.
This include all true believers Who have repented of their sin and have made out
ward confession through baptism if possible. Therefore, the church a community of
true believers of all time of in the beginning of the earth to the time when the earth
will end. Them that have died in the past, those who are alive and them that will
be born and believe in Jesus Christ also from the old testament and the new
testament. The church has got two parts, The Universal Church and The Local
Church, that sometimes are called visible and invisible churches.
The Invisible / the universal church, these are all believers all over the world that
lived that are still alive and them that will be born and believe in Jesus as their
personal saviour. These is a multi-ethnic people of all ages both Jewish and
Gentiles. The church is invisible because we cannot see the spiritual conditions of
people’s heart but we can only see those who outwardly attend the church and we
can see outward evidences of inwards spiritual change. “Though we cannot see
people’s and view peoples heart and view their spiritual state, only God can do”.
Bible Doctrine. 2nd Timothy 2:19 ‘The Lords knows those are his’
The visible or the local church these are the group of people that have repented
their sins and made outward confession through baptism and they are part of the
local church. They are of a certain locality or group of people within the
community, they can be a number of two or three people or of ten thousand that
believe in the Lord Jesus who have a purpose and the commission of Christ at heart
and are being taught on how to be more like Christ holding on the teaching of
Christ. In the visible church all over the world or within the locality we always
include believers and non-believers in their congregation because we cannot see
the heart of the people but God sees, this is unlike to the invisible church. Because
non believers might be in the local church’, the local church should not stop
preaching the good news. Our master for owners of this ( that we know them by
their fruits – Matt: 7:15-16) Paul also did the same. After this false prophet will
come from amongst your own self. Act.20:29-30) therefore the local and the
universal church may apply to a group of people/ believers at any level. Ranging
from a very small group meeting at home or under the tree up the group of people
of all true believers in the universal church. Romans 16: 5 and 1st Cor 1:2. Christ
give himself for the church that the church should glorified him in all areas. Such
as in worship or singing being than full to God. Col 3:16 making melody to the
Lord with our heart Ephesians 5:16-19. God want the church to minister to people
through sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Mat 28:19and also to share his
blessings with others. Showing mercy also to others that have done wrong unto
others. As the Lord said “ Love your enemies and do good to them” Luke 6:35-36
for the to see the goodness of our Lord Act 11:29 and 1st John 3:17. Keeping his
word through obeying him and doing the ordinances such as baptism, Lords Table
and teaching. The church through the entire bible from Old Testament to new
Testament has been known by various images. These include families of God. Paul
said to timothy to act as if all the church were members of a larger family. “Do not
rebuke an old man but encourage him 1st Timothy 5:1-2. And also as the bride of
Christ Ephesians 5: 32 that one day in the future the church will be reunited again
with Christ. The body of Christ as member of one body who are useful to God as
they function differently for the same purpose Ephesians 1:23. The church is also
compared by a building 1st Corinthian 3:7. The temple of God where Christ dwelt
and is the living stone. The church as the filed of God and his vineyard where the
church is the branches of the tree. Jeremiah 12:10. The harvest is need at the end
and it should be a better one. The community of God that contain different families
that come together to worship God ‘1St Principle Family of families’. The church is
also known by being the royal priesthood chosen people. Holly people belonging
to God that have been set a part for the work of God. 1st Peter 2:9. Finally we can
say the church is the flock of God, people who are under his care God is the one
who feeds them, protect and lead them for his shake of his name. the church is the
community of group or group of people who believe in the redemption work of
Jesus Christ and the promises of God from the Old Testament to the new testament
and this form the part of universal and the local church. It has several ethnics but
they have the same faith and they follow Jesus Christ and his teaching obeying him
in all things. People may be gathering in a building or in a place with sound
teaching, a clear mind of the word of God but that will not make them a church.
The church is marked with three things, the right teaching of the word of God
making disciple through teaching and allow people to repent from their sin putting
their trust in the only savior Jesus Christ. The second one is administering the
ordinances such as baptism and the Lords table. As a way of showing their
obedience to Christ. The last one , the unity of believers fro this is the desire of
Jesus Christ that there will be one flock and one Shepherd, John 10:26.
