Undergraduate Program in Tropical Agriculture
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
1. Courses in fields of tropical agriculture, including agronomy, horticulture, animal science,
aquaculture, veterinary medicine, food science, agribusiness, and plant production are offered
for this undergraduate program. Students must complete a total of 130 credits hours
(including
required credits and elective credits) to graduate with the “Bachelor of Science”. For elective
credits, students can choose courses freely in all fields according to their personal interests
and
availability of courses, and acquire general and diversified knowledge in agriculture.
However,
if a major is desired, the department currently offers two majors, “Animal Production” and
“Plant Production”.
2. Students must complete more than 70% elective credits in the same major, either “Animal
Production” or “Plant Production”, so that the major can be specified on the graduate
certificate.
In plant production, the courses include but are not limited to: agronomic and horticultural
crop
production; plant protection; and agri-business management. In animal production, the
courses
include but are not limited to: anatomy and physiology of animals; utilization of animal
products; fish breeding and propagation; and pond management.
3. English Ability Examination: Students must pass a minimum of TOEFL ITP score 500 or
equivalent English-proficiency verifications before graduate (Except for foreign students from
English speaking countries).
4. After completion of all required courses and English Ability Examination, the students will
receive the “Bachelor of Science” degree from the Department of Tropical Agriculture and
International Cooperation, International College with or without a major.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Completion of a Senior high school or vocational high school education, or the equivalent,
from
institutions approved by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan (ROC).
2. Applicants from countries where English is not the native language are required to take the
TOEFL or equivalent English-proficiency verifications.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The IUP in BA provides most courses in English which includes various professional
courses and focuses on relevant management courses.
Students are required to fulfill 128 credits for graduation, which includes 54 credits
for
required courses, 42-46 credits for elective courses, 28-32 credits for general courses,
and
4 PE and 2 service learning courses.
After completing their studies, students will receive a “Bachelor of Business
Administration” Degree from the Department of Business Administration at the
College of
Commerce.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Completion of or the equivalent of a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or
university.
2. Minimum of two years of full-time post-baccalaureate work experience.
3. Satisfactory previous academic achievement.
4. TOEFL score or other evidence of English proficiency whose native language is not
English.
5. Any other materials that will help the Admissions Committee assess the applicant’s
potential.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the IMBA with a grant of TaiwanICDF Higher Education Scholarship Program,
applicants MUST successfully complete two application procedures – One for IMBA and
the
other for TaiwanICDF scholarship.
Step 1. For IMBA application, please use the IMBA online application system at
http://imbaoas.nccu.edu.tw/. The online system allows candidates to access and submit the
required application documents. The system will be open between Jan. 5, 2017 and 5PM,
March 24, 2017 (UTC+8). IMBA Online Application Deadline: 5PM, March 24, 2017
(UTC +8).
Step 2. For TaiwanICDF scholarship application, please access the Scholarship Online
Application
System at http://web.icdf.org.tw/ICDF_TSP/WelcomeStart.aspx to fill the application form
between Jan.1, 2017 and March 17, 2017 (UTC+8). Confirm the information you have
entered and print out the application form. Please submit the application form, together with
your other scholarship application documents, to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/Consulate
(General)/ Representative Office in your country before March 17, 2017. Please be
advised that Scholarship Online Application System will be closed on March 17, 2017
(UTC+8).

This is an online form in our application system containing your personal details (name,
address, academic history, language proficiency, employment history, etc.). If you change
your address after the application period is over, please make sure that you notify the IMBA
Program office so we can contact you.
In the Employment History area, include descriptions of your 3 most recent full-time
positions,
significant part-time employment, internships, or volunteer work.
2. Essays
The required Essays allow the Admissions Committee to learn about you, your
accomplishments and your professional aspirations. You will be asked some questions and
type them in the application system. Your essay should not be written or edited by anyone
other than yourself. Please prepare these essays carefully and candidly, follow the instructions
in the system for each essay.
3. Two recommendation letters
Two recommendations are required and should be completed by individuals who are well

acquainted with you and your managerial capabilities. Preferably, they should be written by
employers or supervisors. You are advised to request recommendations well in advance of the
application deadline to ensure your application package is complete when submitted.
As part of the online application process you will be asked to provide email addresses for
your
recommenders, the system will then send them a link they can use to access the system and
fill
the recommendation letter online or upload a letter of their own.

We require one copy of your college transcript and one copy of the diploma or other
documentation indicating the date and conferral of your degree. If the original language of the

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
International Master’s Program in International Studies (IMPIS) at National Chengchi
University
(NCCU), established in August 2012, aims to bring a broad interdisciplinary focus to the
understanding and study of contemporary international relations. It provides an intensive
learning
and application of knowledge of economy, business, politics, diplomacy, and international
organizations in a world of globalization, with a strong focus on international development
and
strategic management.
The diversity and passion of IMPIS students and faculty members will make the study in
Taiwan
more productive. Each year IMPIS receives 20 master degree students, and they come not
only
from Taiwan but also from all over the world. IMPIS is collaborating with various teaching
and
research units of NCCU to guarantee the quality of teaching and learning and the quantity of
the
courses to be offered. Those who plan to enter international affairs related professions or to
continue doctoral studies in the related fields, as well as mid-career professionals, are

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The College of Technology Management at National Tsing Hua University, located in
Hsinchu of
Taiwan, offers International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program leading to a
master’s degree. IMBA is a two-year, full-time, and all-English MBA program.
We encourage applications from all qualified persons interested in the study of management.
Individuals holding a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university are eligible
for
application. Prior study in business or economics is not a requirement for admission. In the
first
year, students will be equipped with fundamental knowledge of management as a background
for
advanced, specialized work in academic majors and professional fields. In the second year, in
addition to the master's thesis which is required, students are free to take elective courses
from six
specialties and typically major in two or three areas.

Applications (IMPISA)
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
National Tsing Hua University is located next to the Industry Technology Research Institute
(ITRI)
and Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park. Within an hour driving, you can reach the Hsinchu
Industrial District, Chu Nan Industrial District, Tai Chung Industrial District and Tung Luo
Industrial District. Apart from all these industrial districts, National Tsing Hua University
already
has very strong research sources, achievements and work teams of Science, Engineering, Life
Science, Humanities & Social Science and Technology Management. The key direction of
this
program is twofold: One is to combine technology talents and resources within the school; the
other is to take the hi-tech industrial companies next to National Tsing Hua University as
training
places for students.
The plan of this program is to follow certain directions as the intention of
development of
IMPISA. The directions are as follows:
1. Train innovative information technology personnel. The courses will focus on the three
major
fields:
Data Science
We are looking for students from different domain knowledge, such as electrical engineering,
education, business management, humanities & social sciences, and medicine. Under the
cross-scope and multi-cultural environments plus the lectures and advising from our
professors
who are specialized in data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language,
and big data analysis, IMPISA is a perfect place to train outstanding data scientists.
Creative Multimedia
IMPISA has lots of experiences in creative multimedia and have obtained some distinguished
and breakthroughs in recent years. In this group, we are focusing on combining information
system with other knowledges, such as Wireless Multimedia Networking Technologies and
Computer Vision for Visual Effects to name a few.
Human-centered Interaction and User Experience
Consist topics related to intelligent human computer interface, natural language, learning
technology and information media. Based on the four topics, we also extend our research to
game programming, user experience, social computing, intelligent agents, MOOCs, E-
learning
and so on and so forth.
2. Encourage foreign students to take relevant culture courses to learn within a multi-cultural
environment.
3. Provide students to have opportunities to visit local technology industries in order to
understand
Taiwanese industry.
4. Assist students to participate in research projects from high-tech companies.
Program Plan
1. Graduate credits will be 24 credits, plus 4 credits for thesis; altogether there will be 28
credits.

2. There will be two pre-courses, which shall not be counted into the graduate credit,
including
Computer Programming and Data Structure. Basically, these two courses are prerequisite to
apply for this program.
3. IMPISA program will require two years for a student to graduate.

1. Completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
2. Minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test)/215 (computer-based test)/80 (internet-
based
test) or TOEIC score of 750 is preferable, or another certificate of English proficiency for
international applicants whose native language is not English.

15th,

Step 2. Create a Login ID (email account) and PIN (Personal Identification Number) to set up

account. Once you have an ID and a PIN, please click on "Send". The system will set up an
account for you. You can’t start process before setting up your account.
Step 3. The application has six sections, which are “Applicant Information”, “Family
Information”,
“Education Background”, “Referee Information”, “Language Background”, and “Other
Information”. When finished with each section, please click on “Next” to proceed.
Step 4. Once you have filled out all the required information, the system will take you to a
Confirmation Page. Please confirm that all the information is correct and then press
“Confirm”.
Step 5. Print out all required forms from the online system.
Step 6. The applicants must prepare and upload all application requirements listed on the
checking
list. The applicants need to click on submit button to complete their applications.
Step 7. After submission, you can track the progress of your application at any time using
NTHU
online system.

2. A Copy of Diplomas/Certificates in English or Chinese
NTHU only accepts diploma written in English or Chinese. Thus, if your diploma was written
in other languages, it should be accompanied by a certified English translation. Applicants
who

are in the process of completing their studies must submit a letter from the school/university
clearly stating the anticipated graduation date and degree. Applicants who will be pursuing a
second degree in a different field of study must also submit a photocopy of the first
degree/diploma.
3. Official transcript(s)
Please upload transcripts from all college, university or post-secondary educational institution
(including dates & obtained degrees). Transcripts should include grades for every semester. In
addition, the grading system must also be included.
If the original language of the academic record is not in English or Chinese, a certified
English
translation must accompany the original transcript. Official copies of credentials must be
certified by a school administrative officer of the institution from which the degree was
received.
4. Study plan
Describe your short-term and long-term career goals. Explain how your future experience
with
IMPISA of NTHU will assist you in reaching these goals contribute. Double-space lines and
use a minimum font size of 10. Please include any information that you believe would be
helpful to the Admissions Committee in considering your application. (No more than 3
pages.)
5. Letters of Recommendation
Two recommendation letters are required. Fill out at least 2 referees on the online application
form. Once the online application is completed and submitted, the online system will
automatically send out the recommendation notice and the link to referees. Preferable referees
are faculty members who can evaluate your academic qualifications and research potential.
6. Financial certificate
All applicants are required to provide financial proof that shows financial sustainability
(minimum TWD 120,000) for study in Taiwan, or proof of the scholarship. If you have a
sponsor to satisfy this financial obligation, then your sponsor must provide a letter declaring
their relationship to the applicant and their intent to provide financial support throughout
his/her period of study.
7. Declaration Form
Print out the declaration form and sign at the end of the form after reading through it. If
applicable, we may ask the applicant to submit a copy of the statement of travel record, or the
“Forfeited Nationality Permit Certificate” issued by Ministry of the Interior and
Non-Household Registration Declaration.
8. Copy of Passport
Provide a verification of your nationality or a copy of your passport.
9. Resume
Describe your background, academic performance and working experience. (500 words
maximum)
10. English Proficiency
Students from non-English-speaking countries are expected to be able to read, write, listen,
and
speak English for admissions into the program. Applicants, whose first language is not

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The importance of international human resource development has been increasing with the
trend of
industrial globalization. To response to the trend, the Graduate Institute of IHRD was
established in
2003. The MBA degree program is for local and international students and is taught in
English.
This institute sets its goals as cultivating human resource professionals and scholars with
international perspective, cross-cultural communication abilities, professional knowledge, and
the

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The National Taiwan Ocean University is recruiting foreign applicants from aquaculture, Life
Sciences, biochemistry or related field for the Master of Science (M.S.) program. The
objective of
the program is to train and cultivate foreign students to be specialists in the fields list above.
The courses of the program contain six major research areas.
1) aquaculture and environment, 2) aquatic biology, 3) nutrition of aquatic feed and live feed,
4)
fish pathology and immunology, 5) management and system analysis, and 6) molecular
biotechnology.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Foreign students majored in the fields related to those listed above graduated with bachelor

from any national or registered private universities and independent colleges in ROC, or

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program aims to nurture expertise in sustainable development among the next generation
of
professionals working in technology and management as well as to promote the international
cooperation. The program is divided into three areas: Energy Technology and Policy;
Environmental Technology and Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing.
A minimum of 32 credits is required for graduation. Students will receive a ‘Master of
Science’
degree from the International Master’s Program in Environment Sustainable Development,
College of Engineering, after completing their studies.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
International Master’s Program in Electric Power Engineering (IMEPE) specializes in electric
power engineering, including electric machine drives, power systems and power electronics,
networks and controls. The objectives of IMEPE are:
1. Assisting international students in developing advanced electric power engineering
capacities.
2. Promoting professional exchanges among international experts in electric power
engineering.
3. Enhancing the electric power engineering design and analytical capabilities of diplomatic
allies.
Academic Requirement: Students enrolled in this program are required to complete twenty-
four
(24) units of academic courses having three (3) units each. Four (4) of these courses shall be
taken
from the core courses specifically designed for this program. Students need to seek the advice
of
his faculty adviser to help him design his academic loading. With the approval of the program
director, the remaining four (4) courses can be taken at the students’ liberty from any of the
Engineering courses available. The eight (8) specifically designed courses for this program
are:
1. Advanced Electric Machinery Theory
2. Finite Element Analysis of Electric Machinery Systems
3. Linear System Analysis
4. Load Flow Analysis
5. Optimal Control

Thesis Requirement: A Master's thesis in the field of electric power engineering is a strong
requisite for graduation. Students enrolled in this program are required to submit and defend
his/her thesis to a panel of 3-5 committee members. The topic of the thesis should be related
to
his/her specialties and meet the need of the industrial development of the student's country.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
1. This program includes four core courses (Financial and Cost Management for
Construction;
Project Planning and Schedule Control; Organization and Performance and Management; and
Management Construction Information Systems) and 20+ courses in management and
technical fields.
2. Graduation Credits: 36 (A minimum of 30 credits in coursework and a six-credit master's
thesis must be completed. Master students must fulfill a minimum of thirty-six [36] credits
consisting of at least 15 credits from our department.)
3. Students will earn the "Master of Science" degree from the Department of Civil
Engineering,
College of Engineering after the full completion.

Biotechnology
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) Bachelor Program in Medical Laboratory Science and
Biotechnology. This 4-year bachelor degree program integrates a complex level of theoretical
and
technical instruction in laboratories of the field as below:
1. Biomedicine
2. Laboratory Science
3. Molecular Biotechnology
The students are enrolled in general education, science, and preliminary medical technology
courses during the first three years, and are required to stay 20 weeks in hospitals for clinical
practice in the final year which train students to obtain the core value.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. A senior high school diploma acquired from an overseas senior high school or a foreign or
bilingual school in Taiwan shall be recognized by MOE and verified by R.O.C. representative
office.
2. Applicants must have taken the courses in Biology and Chemistry.
3. Good standing in academic achievement.
4. An English proficiency test score equivalent to one of the followings or above for those
whose

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) scholarship at Taipei
Medical
University is only provided for students at Health Care Administration. Apart from displaying
the
spirit: helping the weak and befriending with diplomatic allies, the “International Master’s
Program” is the first English-conducting healthcare administration master’s program to
develop an
English-based learning environment.
The program offers interdisciplinary courses in English. Core courses focus primarily on
health
care administration, and the program also provides courses in the theory and practice of health
insurance, medical informatics, total quality management in healthcare, operations research in
healthcare organization, health information management, international collaborative effort on
injury prevention and control, medical anthropology, and writing scientific papers in English.

TNUA’s International Master of the Arts Program in Cultural and Creative Industries
(IMCCI)
is a unique interdisciplinary graduate program for students who want to make a difference in
the future of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI). It combines a broad range of courses in
the arts and its related cultural policies from international and local perspectives. The
curriculum incorporates a variety of resources from across the university, as well as the

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The International Master Program in Educational Leadership and Management Development
(ELMD) is a full English program at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), mainly
contributed
by the academic staff from the Graduate Institute of Education, the Department of Adult and
Continuing Education and the Center for Teacher Education. Our faculty members are not
merely
experienced teachers but also experts in research and educational practices, particularly on the
trends and issues in the fields of Educational Leadership, Management and Development.
To promote high-quality pursuit of profound knowledge and to respond enthusiastically to the
overwhelming global trends form the solid basis of the Program. With a Master degree in
Education, our graduates are expected to find successful employment as an education
practitioner
in an educational system, a manager working in the public sector or a private learning
organization,
or as a researcher contributing to the academia.
We aim to offer a holistic educational experience in Taiwan. Your experience would be a
journey of
gaining knowledge and skills, expanding your qualifications, and building your international
connection as a professional. Our two-year program is structured into compulsory and
elective
courses, personal/group assignments, and research. By engaging in these activities, you are
encouraged to explore educational issues in Taiwan as well as in the global context.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree either from a domestic university of independent college accredited by
Ministry of Education, Taiwan; or from an overseas university or college recognized by
Ministry of Education, Taiwan; or an undergraduate qualification accepted by Ministry of
Education, Taiwan as equivalent.
2. All students whose first language, or national official language, is not English must provide
recent evidence that their good command of the English language is adequate for the
Program.
* The required evidence should be recently obtained acceptable English language
qualification
or test result among one of the following: TOEIC, TOEFL (PBT, CBT, iBT), IELTS, CEFR,
Cambridge Main Suite, BULATS, or Taiwan GEPT.

4. This Program is open only to students who have never obtained a physician license.
HOW TO APPLY
No application fee is required for applying for admission to this Program.
Step 1. An application must be completed no later than March 15, 2017.

Step 2. The application form and required documents must be submitted to ISU by the
aforesaid

* Notes:
