SCRIPT 1

Scene 1 : intro

(scene opens with aira standing in a hotel lobby, dressed as a friendly hotel
staff member. she greets guests with a warm smile as they pass by)

Aira : Hello, travelers and hospitality professionals! I am Aira, and today,


we’re diving into a very important topic, hygiene risks in the hospitality and
tourism industry. Whether you’re a guest or working in this vibrant industry,
maintaining proper hygiene isn’t just about looking good, it’s about ensuring
safety and creating a welcoming environment. Tara, samahan niyo kami as
we explore common hygiene risks and how to avoid them!

Scene 2 : hotel room

(cut to denise walking into a hotel room. opens the door and inspects the
room, starting with the bed and bathroom)

Denise : First on our list is hotel room cleanliness. For guests, nothing feels
better than walking into a clean, well-prepared room, hindi ba? Pero, alam
niyo ba na ang most common hygiene risks can be found sa mga bagay na
madalas nating hinahawakan tulad ng remote controls, light switches, door

(cuts to Jaymar wearing hairnet and washing their hands properly)

personal hygiene, especially when at a buffet.

(michael walks toward a buffet table filled with delicious food)

Scene 4 : spa facility

(cut to mich walking into the spa area of a hotel. she’s greeted by a spa
therapist who is preparing a treatment room)

Mich : Who doesn’t love a relaxing spa treatment during a vacation? But
wait! Did you know that spa facilities can also be a source of hygiene risks if
not properly maintained?

(mich inspects the cleanliness of the massage table and the towels)

(mich then turns to the camera with a towel in hand)

Scene 5 : pool and gym hygiene

(jaymar standing by the poolside and watching guests swim)

Jaymar : Now, let's talk about pool and gym hygiene. These areas are high-
traffic and can be a breeding ground for bacteria if not properly maintained.
For hotel staff, it’s essential to regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, from
gym equipment to poolside chairs.

(jaymar points to a sign reminding guests to shower before entering the


pool. later then walks inside a gym facility)

Jaymar : For guests, always shower before swimming and make sure to use
the provided towels in the gym. And don’t forget to wipe down gym
equipment after use—both for your safety and the next person’s.

(jaymar demonstrates wiping down a treadmill after use)

Scene 6 : handling linens

(scene transitions to Denise standing in the hotel’s laundry room, where staff
are handling linens and towels)

handled with care to prevent the spread of germs. Hotel staff should always
use gloves when handling soiled linens and ensure that everything is washed
at the proper temperature.

(she watches as the laundry staff sorts and washes the linens)

Denise : Clean linens are a basic expectation for guests, but they’re also
crucial for maintaining overall hygiene in the hotel. For guests, it’s always a
good idea to avoid placing personal items on the bed or couch until you’re
sure they’re clean.

Scene 7 : conclusion

(everyone is now back in the hotel lobby, smiling at the camera as guests
check in and out around them)
