Introduction
Technology is such a variable thing which can change every day to cope up with modern life and
to ensure the comfort of daily life. Without technological support, life cannot think for a moment
in this era. People are adapting to technology very fast and making a necessary part of life. This
report is developed on the “Adapting to New Technology” on this topic from the perspective of
Devro. As it is a food manifesting company, there needs different technical support for
production. This report explained the adaption to technology, the importance of adapting, and
why business organizations are adapting with the new technology very fast.

The employee of the Devro company are well trained about the technology and upgrade or adapt
to the new technology very fast. For that Devro company arrange different training session
according to the need of the employees catch up power and ensure the efficient employee for
adapting with the technological change (Lembke, 2013). But there have some negative impacts
of the adaptation with the technology. Devro company ensuring good product quality, fulfilling
the demand but on the internal side of the company the employee is being very dependent on the
technology which decreasing the communication among the employee. The employee is
becoming like machines day by day. It may be a good side for the company’s products but in the
future, it will cost bad for the company if they get faced different health problems. In the future,
the production of the Devro Company will fall for that reason which will not be good for the
global competition for holding up the company. As technology changes very fast and the Devro
Company have to adapt to the change very frequently it's bad for the company and the employee
(Zimmerman and Faris, 2015). Because people don't want to leave their comfort and they try to
leave it, as result, they lose the motivation of work or about the technology and get bored. Which
is untimely a bad effect for the company. So, the Devro Company has to be concerned about that
matter to hold up the product and adaptation with the technology.
Conclusion
Devro Company is doing well by using the technology and supporting the employee who is
directly involved with the production. Because the employees are their main asset of the
production and all other support in the business. They are training their employee according to
the new change of technology and support them to adapt by taking their time and not try to force
on the employee. So, employees are happy about their workplace and got motivated to work
happily. By using the technology Devro Company try to produce the product more efficiently by
holding the quality of the product. As life or business is impossible without the technology and
cannot compete without the adaptation of the technology, so the company has focused on the
adaptation more carefully as if it's don't impacts the employee and production are going on
according to the demand.

Part 2- Reflective Writing
Reflective writing means the experience which is gained by writing this report, feelings, and
what had to do for preparing this report. All the experience is explained below gradually which is
gained from part 1.
Preparing the report I have improved my personal and academic skills. The very first skill what I
have improved is that my researching skill. As it's research-based work I have to find out
different topics from different sources. Some sources have to take from different writers' books,
some are from the internet, some from different recent journals. I have to work hard for
preparing the report and improved my research skill. Another skill which improved is
communication skills and time management skills (Kartawijaya, 2018). I have to communicate
with some people for collecting some data and knowledge. As this work has a time limit, I have
to work by budgeting the time as time management is a big fact. I have to collect all data by
doing time planning and contact with the people by fixing time and have to talk about the report.
I also have to do referencing this work from the different selective source. I also learned about
how to do referencing and to cite it in the report in text.

Why learning skills is important
Learning a skill is important for increasing the efficiency of my work in any position. Learning is
also necessary for developing and improving the weak point of mine in interpersonal skills and
academic skills. For this report, I have contact with different people with whom I never met
before and now we are maintaining a good relationship which is also necessary for good
networking with the people (Mattis and Bing West, 2019). This report helps me to increase my
efficiency in writing and thinking skills also. This helps me to think more deeply about a topic.
This work helps me to crop the uneasiness taking with people and how to continue a
conversation and how to make a conversation joyful. It's great learning for me by working on
this report and able to improve some of my weaknesses in the skills.

How I would be able to use my skills
Interpersonal skill or academic skill is a very personal thing and the use or implementation of the
skill is wholly depends on me how I am using the skill or how efficiently I am using my skills.
All my skills will help me to do well in my future or in my professional or job life. As my
uneasiness is cropped by working with different people this helps me to communicate with the
people very simply in the future (Verderber and Verderber, 2013). Through my research skill, I
can do my projects work by finding every simple matter deeply. I can do all my work time in the
future as I have proper knowledge about time management and how to use the time. Moreover, I
am confident about taking myself and my future that I can do something good according to my
expectation.
