INTRODUCTION
The talismans in this booklet expand the basic talisman
theory outlined in my free booklet, How To Work Talisman
Magic. I recommend that you become familiar with the
practice in that first booklet before moving into this next
phase of the work.

The planetary stars are simple geometric shapes based on

the number corresponding to each planet. These planetary
numbers are determined by the placement of each planet on
the Hermetic Tree of Life.

Star talismans, at first, can seem a bit daunting to some

people, but it’s a lot easier than it looks. If you ever get stuck
or need an example, I am continually loading videos on
Talismans to my YouTube channel so that you can follow
along with me and see how easy it is.

SUPPLIES
To make these talismans, you will need some paper, a ruler, a
compass, a protractor, and a pencil.

To add color correspondences to your talismans, I

recommend an assortment of colored paper or card stock
and colored pencils, crayons, pens, or paints.

3
You may wish to perfume your talismans with a fragrance
sacred to the energies you are working with.

An all-purpose perfume that you can use on any talisman is

Verbena.

If you would like to include candle magic in your practice, I

would recommend getting some small candles of various
colors and some candle holders.

CONSTRUCTING YOUR STAR

Step 1: Find the Planetary Number

You first need to determine which planet rules the purpose
for which you are making your talisman. See the list of
planetary correspondences in this booklet.

Then, find the number corresponding to the planet you desire

to work with:

3 - Saturn 7 - Venus
4 - Jupiter 8 - Mercury
5 - Mars 9 - The Moon
6 - The Sun

4
Measurement Harmonics
A harmonic is a handy tool when employing measurement in
your magic. When you want to make something larger or
smaller without losing the vibration of the number in question,
you will use a harmonic of that base number.

To find a harmonic is extremely simple.

To make something smaller, divide the original number in half

for the first harmonic smaller. Divide that in half again to find
the next harmonic, and so on into infinity.

The same simple procedure is done to make something

larger. Double your base number to obtain the first harmonic
larger. You can double that harmonic to get the next harmonic
larger, and so on, infinitely.

For example, Mercury’s number is eight. While an eight-inch

circle is possible, it’s big and cumbersome to work with. The
first harmonic smaller is always half, meaning the first
harmonic smaller of the number eight is four.

Therefore, I can make a four-inch circle which is much easier

to work with. If I wanted to make it smaller (to design some
jewelry, perhaps), the next harmonic down would be 2. The
next down from that would be 1, 0.5, and so on.

Saturn’s number is three. If I wanted a larger circle than three

inches, I could double the number to obtain the first larger
harmonic. Thus, I would make a six-inch circle. If, for some
reason, I wanted a very large harmonic for Saturn, I could
double the first harmonic and use twelve (the second
harmonic), twenty-four (the third harmonic), and so on.

5
For our examples, we are using inches as our unit of
measurement, but you may use centimeters or any other unit
of measurement you desire.

Step 2: Draw the Circle

Start with a square sheet of paper or card, then mark a small

dot in the very center.

If you have a regular sheet of letter-sized paper, the

dimensions are 8.5” x 11”. You can turn this into an 8.5” square
by cutting the 11” side down to 8.5”

Finding the center is very easy. measure diagonally across

the page with your ruler and make a small dot at the 6” point.

You want the circle to be the size (in either inches or

centimeters) of the number corresponding to the planet you
are working with or one of the number’s harmonics.

Open your compass to half the size you want your circle to
be. Place the point of the compass on your center dot, and
lightly draw your circle on your paper.

Step 3: Find the Magic Number

There are a total of 360 degrees in a circle. We divide 360 by

the number of points the star has that we want to make. That
will tell us how many degrees apart each point of the star will
be.

For instance, Mars corresponds to the number five. So Mars’

star is a five-pointed star or pentagram.

6
The points of a pentagram are 72 degrees apart because 360
divided by 5 equals 72.

Therefore, 72 is always the magic number for a pentagram.

Each star has its own magic number.

It should be noted that while the figures for numbers 3 and 4

aren’t technically “stars” (they are a triangle and a diamond or
square, respectively), they are referred to as planetary stars
in this practice.

Number Planet Magic Number Planetary Star

3 Saturn 120 Triangle

4 Jupiter 90 Diamond

5 Mars 72 Pentagram

6 Sun 60 Hexagram

7 Venus 51 * Heptagram

8 Mercury 45 Octogram

9 Moon 40 Enneagram

11 Uranus 32* Hendecagram

Note: The seven and 11-pointed stars are each composed of a number of
points that 360 can’t be divided equally into. It doesn’t matter to the
naked eye, nor the effectiveness of these talismans. Use the magic
numbers as given in this booklet.

Step 4: Draw The Star

Now that you know the magic number of the star you are
constructing, start by placing your protractor on the page so
the center of the protractor lines up with the dot in the center
and the 0-degree point is pointing to the top of your circle.

7
Then make a small mark at the zero point and at each magic
number around the circle, turning your protractor as
necessary (always making sure you line up the center of the
protractor with the center dot on your page).

For instance, if I were making a pentagram with the magic

number 72, I would turn my compass so that 0 degrees was
on the top of my circle and the center of the protractor was
on my center dot.

Then I’d mark off 0°, find 72° and mark it off too. Then I’d see
the next 72-degree mark which is 144.

Most protractors are only half circles, so I have to turn my

protractor to line up the zero degrees with the last dot. I just
made and then find the next 72° and mark it. Once I have
made five dots, each 72 apart, I’m finished with the protractor.

Now that you have the dots on your page that represent the
points of what will be your star, you need to bring those
points to the circle you just drew.

This is very simple. Take your ruler and Line up the center dot
with a point of your star and follow your ruler to make a new
dot right at the circle’s edge. Once you have placed each
star's point onto the circle, you are ready to draw in your star.

To draw your star, line up your ruler between the two points
you want to join, and draw your line. Continue around your
star until your star is complete. See the example stars in this
booklet to know how each figure is supposed to look.

The larger the number of points of a star, the more options

you have as to how wide or narrow you want your angels to
be. Generally, for talismans, a reasonably wide angle is best.

8
Step 5: Fill in the center
The center of the star contains your desire. There are many
options for what you put in the center of your talisman. My
recommendation is to stick with the basic theory set out in my
original talisman book.

Sign your name, and place three words describing the

purpose of the talisman beneath it.

I recommend that the first word be “Peace” and the second

word be the quality of spirit ruled by the planet you are
working with (see How To Work Talisman Magic for details)

You may want to work with some of the magical scripts

instead of writing in English. The Theban Script and the
Passing the Rivers Scripts are covered extensively in my free
course, Basic Angel Magic.

Another powerful script is the Asherah Script, taught in my

free booklet, How to Work the Oracle of Asherah.

Step 6: Draw The Outer Circle

(Optional)
Open your compass to draw another circle, somewhat larger
than the original circle.

9
The inner circle is the only circle that should be a harmonic of
the planet you are working with. The outer circle is there to
give a frame to any circular text around your talisman.

In the space between the two circles, you can write Divine
Names, Psalm Verses, Angelic Names, and other symbols of
power.

For ideas of Psalm verses to use in the circle frame, see my

free booklet, How To Work the Magic of Psalm 119. You may
write Psalms in English, Latin, or Hebrew.

Another option in the circle frame is to write the appropriate

Hebrew God Names for the planet you are working with
(given later in this booklet). You may do this either in Roman
Script (the script English is written in), or you may use Hebrew
letters (also provided).

Step 7: Draw Other Symbols (Optional)

You may desire to align your talisman even more to the planet
you work with by drawing in the symbol for that planet and
any zodiac signs it rules.

There may be additional meaningful symbols that can be

incorporated as well.

We often place these symbols just inside the points of the

star and occasionally in the space outside of the star. You can
use your intuition and imagination.

10
Step 8: Add Color (optional)
You can add planetary colors to your talisman using crayons,
paints, colored pencils, and inks. Let yourself have fun
immersing yourself in the coloring of your talisman.

You can also incorporate color by constructing your talisman

using colored paper and drawing the lines and words in
complementary colors.

Step 9: Charge Your Talisman

Using either spray perfume or perfumed oil, scent your
talisman with a perfume sacred to the planet. The traditional
flowers for each planet are given here, but many different
scents are associated with each planet. Please use what you
like.

An excellent all-purpose perfume that can be used with any

talisman is verbena.

Then burn a candle on top of your amulet to finish charging it.

Use either a plain white candle or a candle that is the color
associated with the planet in question. Make sure your candle
is in a decent holder if you want to avoid getting wax on your
talisman.

If you can't burn candles or use perfumes, meditate on your

talisman for a few minutes to charge it.

11
Step 10: Store Your Talisman
Once your candle has finished burning down and out by itself
(never leave a candle unattended), hide your talisman
somewhere so that it is facing up with nothing sitting directly
on top of it. My favorite place to hide talismans is on top of a
tall bookcase. But a drawer or cabinet will do OK if nothing is
directly sitting on the talisman.

Once you have achieved your goal, deactivate the talisman

by tearing it into two or more pieces and throwing it away.

SOME TIPS AND TRICKS

The forces we contact when we work angel magic are just as
real as anything in this world. We must use our deep minds to
find connections to these angelic planetary energies.

Talismans are nothing more than a communication device

between you and your deep mind. Your deep mind is the part
of your mind that can access these great and mighty beings.

Please familiarize yourself with more of the symbols of the

planets so that you can begin to incorporate more and more
of them into your talismanic practices.

I have a growing library of free booklets, free courses,

lectures, and video tutorials for many aspects of this sacred
Art; I hope you avail yourself of them. Each contains more
correspondences for the angels and planets.

12
Deepening Your Practice
If you like gems and crystals, put a crystal that corresponds to
the planet and angel you are working with within the center
of your talisman to help charge the talisman.

If you like flowers, get some fresh-cut flowers sacred to the

angel you are working with and place them in a vase next to
the talisman as you charge it.

Sprinkle herbs that correspond to the planet you are working

with along the lines of the star on the talisman, and then use
that as a magic powder to sprinkle wherever you need it.

Suppose you like to color or paint instead of using colored

paper. In that case, you can start with white paper and color it
the planetary color with crayons, acrylic paints, markers,
watercolors, or another medium.

Try using glitter pens to draw the lines of the star, circle, and
or scripts you use to give them more visual impact.

You might try the practice of using a small chalkboard or

whiteboard, and use colored chalk or dry-erase markers to
make your talisman, and then erase it when you have finished
with your spell.

In my booklet, How to work Talisman Magic, I give you a

technique of “trapping” thoughts in your deep mind. You can
do something similar with a star talisman by leaving a small
space open in the star and the circle, writing in the center of
the star that you desire, and then closing off the star and
circle to trap them.

To stimulate energy within your talisman, you can repeat the

words in the center of your star in a single line of cursive

13
writing, forming a spiral of words three or more levels deep.
You can trim the talismans to the edge of the outer circle if
you prefer, rather than leaving the paper in a square shape.
This often gives a much different energetic effect to the
talisman.

You may also try using unbroken lines of cursive writing along
the lines (or instead of the lines) of the figures in a talisman.

You can also cut the paper in a polygon shape with the same
number of points as your star to immerse the talisman with
the vibrations of the planetary number even more.

You will come up with many of your own unique techniques

as you work on your Star Talisman magical practice!

General Guidelines
As a general rule, make star talismans on the day of the week
that is sacred to the planet/angel you are working with (see
the correspondences in this booklet).

As with most magic, work during the waxing moon for goals
to draw something to you or make something grow or
expand. Work during the waning moon for purposes that are
to eliminate or banish something from your life.

Avoid having more than three active talismans for the same
person at once, as this dilutes the results.

When you are ready to deactivate a talisman, tear it. Once the
circle and star have been torn, the amulet is inactive. Once it
has been deactivated, throw it away, no other ritual is
needed.

14
THE PLANETS
Following are some correspondences for each of the planets
to get you started.

The planetary and angel magic tradition that I work with is

classified as one of the Ogdoadic traditions. This means we
primarily work with eight planets and angels rather than the
traditional seven.

Classical planetary magic uses the seven planets of old. We

also include Uranus in our basic magic.

In more advanced work, we also work with Planetary Earth,

Neptune, and the asteroid Pluto and their corresponding
angels.

Our focus is on the eight planets and angels included in this

booklet.

You will notice that Uranus and Saturn both share Saturday as
their sacred day. That is not a typographical error.

Modern astrology has Pisces ruled by Neptune and Scorpio

ruled by Pluto. However, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter in this
system, and Mars rules Scorpio. The only planet farther than
Saturn that we use is Uranus, which rules Capricorn.
