On the recommendation of the Odisha Public Service Commission, the following

candidates are hereby appointed temporarily as Assistant Professors in the respective disciplines
as mentioned below under OMES Cadre of Health and Family Welfare Department in the scale
of pay of Rs.15,600/- to 39,100/- with AGP of Rs.8,000/- per month with other allowances as
admissible from time to time on probation for a period of one year from the date of their actual
joining in the post or until further orders.
1. The appointment is purely temporary and terminable at any time without prior notice and
without assigning any reason thereof. The appointment is subject to final result of the OA No 725
(C)/2019. Further the appointment in respect of Psychiatry discipline shall be subject to result of
OA No 1119 (C)/ 2019 and in respect of Cardiology discipline shall be subject to result of OA No
1122 (C)/ 2019.
2. The following candidates shall be posted in SCB MCH, Cuttack/ MKCG MCH, Berhampur
initially against the vacant post under OMES Cadre that arose prior to 18.12.13 in obedience to
the Hon'ble Supreme Court's direction. Their service is transferable and comes under the
purview of the transfer policy for their posting in the new Government Medical Colleges as and
when required.
3. The detailed place of posting in respect of Anaesthesiology, Bio-Chemistry, FM&T,
Orthopaedic Surgery, Physiology, C.T.V.S. and Nephrology discipline will be made in the
counselling to be conducted by the Director, Medical Education and Training, Odisha,
Bhubaneswar as per the guidelines issued vide Resolution No-14327/Gen, dated-04.07.2017
of General Administration and Public Grievance Department due to availability of two options
of place of postings in the SCB MCH and the MKCG MCH. However, Counselling in respect of
Psychiatry, Radio-Therapy, SPM, Skin & VD, TB & CD, Emergency Medicine, Rheumatology
and Cardiology discipline is not required, as vacancy in respect of each disciplines is related
to one MCH, requiring no option exercise by the recommended candidates. The detailed place
of posting in respect of Psychiatry, Radio-Therapy, SPM, Skin & VD, TB & CD, Emergency
Medicine, Rheumatology and Cardiology discipline will be notified separately.
4. The above Notification is available in the Health & F W Department website
http./www.odisha gov.in/heallh_portal/index.html. The appointees in respect of
Anaesthesiology, Bio-Chemistry, FM&T, Orthopaedic Surgery, Physiology, C.T.V.S. and
Nephrology discipline are requested to download the copy of this Notification from the website
and produce the same before the Counselling.
5. The Appointees are hereby directed to furnish their details of past engagements ( name
of the post, nature (Temporary, Permanent), type (Deputation or Deployment) and Name and
Address of the Institute) within five days from the issue of this Notification through email i.e.
me1section.2017@g_mail.com for taking necessary steps for their early relieve from Medical
College and Hospitals of the State of Odisha /acceptance of their resignations from OMHS
Cadre.
