The ASSURE Instructional design was developed
by Hainrich and Molenda in 1999. The primary
goal of this model is to produce an effective
teaching and learning (Forest, 2015) This model
serves as a guide for teachers in planning and
conducting insructions using instructional
technology.

The SAMR Model
Dr. Ruben Puendatura (2006) developed the SAMR model that describes
technology integration throught the following four levels.

REDEFINITION
TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS FOR THE CREATION OF NEW TASKS, PREVIOUSLY
INCONCEIVABLE

MODIFICATION
TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS SIGNIFICANT TASK REDESIGN

AUGMENTATION
TECHNOLOGY ACTS AS A DIRECT TOOL SUBSTITUTE, WITH
FUNCTIONAL CHANGE

SUBSTITUTION
TECHNOLOGY ACTS AS A DIRECT TOOL SUBSTITUTE, WITH NO
FUNCTIONAL CHANGE
