Summary/ precis Writing

Procedure of Summary/ precis Writing:


1. That will be 1/3 of the main passage.
2. Figure of speech, example, sample, instance, repetition and exaggeration will
be omitted.
3. There will be only the gist of the passage.
4. Transform direct speech to Indirect speech.
5. Transform Interrogative sentence to assertive sentence.
6. Description will be in 3rd person.
7. There will be a title for precis according to the gist of the passage. For
summary, there will be no title.
8. Description of the gist of the passage will be in your own language.
