Ethical Considerations

This quantitative study will inevitably raise ethical issues and concerns due to its specific
implications. The methodology employed in this study is the primary source of these problems and
concerns.

On the first issue, the researchers will submit a request letter to the Dean’s Office to ask for the
authorization to carry out the study while adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Once approved, the
researchers will provide a copy of authorization to the Office of Barangay, Captain of Bangkerohan, and
purok leaders where the study is to be conducted. Second and last issue will address how the respondents to
answer the survey questionnaire.

The researchers meticulously adhered to a set of principles throughout the study. The following are
the ethical guidelines that were strictly observed:

Voluntary Participation. Respondents are not obliged to participate in research, according to the principle
of voluntary participation. Respondents should also aware that they have the freedom to withdraw from the
study at any point, without facing any repercussions.

Privacy and Confidentiality. Researchers must maintain the confidentiality of the data they gather. This
implies that any information obtained from participants should not be disclosed to third parties without the
explicit consent of the individuals involved. Any deviation from this principle could potentially jeopardize
the rights of the participants.

Informed consent. Respondents in the study are required to provide accurate and succinct information,
along with a clear understanding of the study’s objectives, potential risks, and benefits. It is imperative that
respondents are cognizant of their right to withdraw from the study at any point, without facing any
repercussions.

Recruitment. Researchers are obligated to ensure that all potential respondents are given equal
opportunities to partake in the study, regardless of their personal characteristics such as race, gender, age,
religion, or socioeconomic status. This approach not only upholds the ethical standards of research but also
enhances the validity and reliability of the study findings by ensuring a diverse and representative sample.

Plagiarism. The researchers will use Grammarly, Turnitin, and Plagiarism detector for plagiarism checking.

Fabrication. The study will exhibit no signs of deliberate misunderstanding. There will be no fabrication of
data or results, nor will there be any intentional presentation of inaccurate conclusions.

Falsification. The study will be conducted without any intentional distortion of the work to conform to a specific
model or theoretical expectation, and there will be no instances of overstatement or embellishment.

Conflict of interest. The study should have a fair, unbiased, and free from any potential conflicts. This involves
maintaining a strict separation between the researcher’s personal interests and their professional responsibilities.
Deceit. The study will not present any indications of dishonesty on the part of the participants, nor will it contain any
potential harm or misinformation.
Authorship. The study researchers are currently studying and taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing , are engaged
in an ongoing study. This process involves numerous revisions, incorporating the guidance and recommendations of
the research advisor and panelists. Once the study receives approval, the researchers will proceed with preliminary
testing. The data gathered during this phase will be scrutinized and interpreted to establish the reliability and validity
of the research instruments used.

Permission from Organization/Location. The researchers will submit a copy of the authorization letter to the head
of the college program, as well as to the captain of Barangay Bankerohan and the purok leaders, who will be
involved in the study.
