AWS Cost Optimization: Prerequisites and Engagement Outline

Prerequisites to Initiate the Monitoring and Cost Optimization Process:


1. Types of environments (e.g., staging, UAT, production).
2. Project Name
3. Working hours for non-production environments (e.g., 9 am to 6 pm).
4. List of non-production services.
5. Primary regions of end users (e.g., India, US).
6. URLs to active applications and websites.
7. All the Server access credentials (PEM files, passwords if applicable).
8. Domain hosting platform.
9. SSL certificate hosting platform.
10. Status of production environment (e.g., fully live or in development).
11. Tech stack of hosted applications.
This information is essential to get started. Additional details may be requested as the process
unfolds.

Cost and Engagement Details:


 Fee: ₹15,000 for two days; additional charges apply if more time or effort is required.
 Process: After gathering information, I will monitor current utilization and configurations,
followed by planning and implementing cost optimization measures.
 Payment Terms: 50% of the cost upfront, with all communication documented via email.
