    RESOLUTION APPEALING THE CONSPICUOUS DISPLAY OF SANTA CRUZ

    MUNICIPAL POLICE STATION HOTLINE AND PROVINCIAL POLICE STATION


    HOTLINE INFORMATION INSIDE PUBLIC BUSES PLYING OR PASSING IN THE
    MUNICIPALITY OF SANTA CRUZ JURISDICTION.

    Whereas, public transportation system plays a crucial role among commuting


    people whose safety and protection must be assured at all times;

    Whereas, the presence of clear and accessible information can significantly


    enhance passengers' ability to report emergencies, suspicious activities, and
    safety concerns in a timely manner;

    Whereas, visibility of a dedicated police hotline on public buses can facilitate


    direct communication between passengers and law enforcement, thereby
    improving overall public safety and response effectiveness;

    Be it resolved that Land Transportation Office and Bus Companies shall


    implement the display of a police hotline number on all public buses
    operating within its jurisdiction and premises;

    Be it further resolved that the police hotline information shall be prominently


    displayed in a standardized format, including but not limited to, bus interiors,
    visible digital screens, and printed signage. The display should include:

    1. The police hotline number,

    2. Clear instructions on how to use the hotline,

    3. A brief message encouraging passengers to report emergencies or


    suspicious activities.

    Be it further resolved that the LTO and Bus Companies shall collaborate with
    local law enforcement agencies to ensure that the hotline information is
    accurate, regularly updated, and effectively communicated to passengers;

    Be it further resolved that this measure shall be reviewed annually to assess


    its effectiveness and to make any necessary adjustments based on feedback
    from passengers and law enforcement agencies.
