4. TYPICAL INSTALLATION
The TH-44 can be installed in 3 different ways: Panel, 2” Tube and Flat Surface.
For installation purpose the instrument is offered with the following hardware: 2 Installation Support, 4
SS screws ¼" x ½", 4 plain SS washers ¼", 2 "U" SS clamps , 2 SS screws and 2 SS plain ¼".
These hardware allow 3 different ways for installation, to know:
a) Installation in 2” tube: Uses 2 installation support + 2 "U" clamps with screws and washers.
b) Installation in Panel: Uses 2 installation support ; the edges will be placed against the internal surface
of the panel, 4 screws. ¼" x ½” will be used to hold it in place.
c) Installation in Flat Surface(Wall Mount): Uses 2 installation support and “U” clamps holes are also
used to hold the instrument in place at flat surface.

5. EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION
1- Take the equipment of the box and inspect if any damage occurred during transportation.
2- Install the instrument in an strategic place, allowing easy access, exempt of vibration and vapors.
3-Avoid direct exposure to sun light, if necessary provide coverage protection to the instrument.
4- Proceed with the wire terminal connection, clamping the wires at appropriate terminals, at the terminal block located
under the front panel (take off the 4 frontal screws from the front panel).
5- Inspect all electrical installation to make sure that the connections were executed properly.
6- Verify the input power that is being supplied (110 or 220 VAC), making sure the wire is connected to the proper voltage.
7- Turn on the circuit breaker at the distribution box.
5.1.1.The contact output of SET-POINT 1 is done by the dry contact relay actuator, which can commute any power by
alternate tension (VAC), since the current is not higher than 1A / 250V.
5.1.2.Verify if the cable holders of the equipment and the probe are holding firmly their respective interconnection cables. If
confirmed any gap, use "high fusion" tape around the cable, until it achieves a perfect attachment to the cable holder. This
procedure has the function to preserve the case protection standards (IP-68).
5.1.3.The contact output of SET-POINT 2 is done by the dry contact relay action, which can commute any power by
alternate tension (VAC), since the current is not bigger than 1A / 250VAC. This output can also be used for Electrode Auto
Cleaning (see Set-up operation - page 9).
NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT TO SET UP THE ELECTRICAL POWER NOT DEPENDING OF THE INSTRUMENT OR THE
CONTACTS OUTPUT.
5.1.4.Replace periodically the sealing “o-rings” in order to guarantee the proper sealing of the equipment body.

If any mistake occur or you desire to change the option chosen, use <ESCAPE> key, to go bak one step and correct
the mistake.
SET UP OPERATION
2
The equipment offers a non-volatil memory (E PROM), in order to store the operation characteristics (resolution,
reading mode, calibration, and more) . Even if turned off from power, the characteristics already set, will be sustained
for your work.
Before initiating any job with the equipment, verify the set up conditions, to make sure no mistake occur regarding
the set up desired for that specific job.
At the FUNCTION SELECT menu, press <SELECT> key to select the desired function (flashing option), after deciding
the function desired, press <ENTER> key, to access the sub-menu where you will find the SET option, press
<SELECT> until SET flashes then press <ENTER>. At this moment a password will be requested, press in this
sequence: <SELECT>, <ENTER>, <ESCAPE> and observe step by step the display indications , which will show
various functions and options every 3 sec.. In case you desire to stop scrolling to alter any option, press <SELECT>
key and press <ESCAPE> key until reached the desired field. Press <SELECT> key until the desired option flashes.
After this press <ENTER> key to confirm the option.
In order to stop at every screen, it is necessary to press <SELECT> key at every screen option, otherwise the
program will scroll with factory defaults. If you desire to move back, press <ESCAPE> until reached the desired
screen, then press <SELECT> to stop at the desired screen, make your selection using <SELECT> key, then press
<ENTER> to confirm your option.
CHECK OPERATION
Check Sensor operation is very useful as it allows the user to check the sensor conditions (sensibility of the
electrode). The operation is self explanatory, by pressing <SELECT> key until CHECK is flashing then <ENTER> key.
Thru the display, the user will be able to visualize all menu information.
READING OPERATION
At this operation the user will find the options CALIBRATE and READ. In case the user desires to calibrate the
sensor, press <SELECT> key in order to select the CALIBRATE option and just after, press <ENTER> key. From this
point on, the program will instruct step by step for a perfect calibration. In case the user desires read, press
<SELECT> key in order to select the READ option and just after press <ENTER> key and the display will show the
