COMBINED ENTRANCE TEST 2025 (First)

FOR ADMISSION IN ENGINEERING INSTITUTIONS OF THE PUNJAB FOR
B.Sc. ENGINEERING PROGRAMS AND OTHER DISCIPLINES (OFFERED BY
UET, LAHORE)

Per the direction of the Government of Punjab, since 1999 University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has been conducting the combined Entrance
Test for admission in Public Sector Engineering institutions of Punjab. Per the multiple notifications of Pakistan Engineering Council, this entrance test is mandatory
for admission in the undergraduate engineering programs of public / private engineering institutions. This is the first entrance test this year. Per the instruction of
PEC, applicants should be given multiple chances, and the best result should be taken when merit is being determined during the admission process. The score in
this ECAT will be valid for admission in UET in Fall 2025.
A common Entrance Test is required for admission into B.Sc. Engineering Programs of the Punjab and as well as for computing and other disciplines where it is
applicable for admission in UET Lahore.
1. ORIENTATION SESSION DATE, TIME
A fifteen minutes orientation session, for familiarizing the candidates with the computer-based test, will in shaa Allah be held, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, respectively,
in one of the following Centers at the allotted time that will be printed on the student admit card:

2. ENTRANCE TEST DATE, TIME

The Entrance Test will in shaa Allah be held from Monday through Friday (i.e., March 17, 2025, to March 21, 2025) in the above Centers at the allotted time.
3. WHO CAN APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE TEST?
Anyone can take the Entrance Test, however, appearance in the Test does not confer the right to apply for admission in the Engineering institutions of the
Punjab.
4. GETTING / PAYMENT OF ENTRANCE TEST CHALLAN / TOKEN NUMBER

Visit the admissions portal admission.uet.edu.pk and follow the following process:

The applicant required to Generate Challan of Rs. 2,500/ from UET admission portal admission.uet.edu.pk for entrance test Application processing Fee.
That Challan / token is only valid for ECAT-2025, First. After Challan Generation, you must pay it.

The Challan / token number can be paid in two ways: (a) through HBL online banking if you are a HBL account holder, or (b) through HBL KONNECT if you
are not a HBL account holder. In either case, the token number is your challan number, which is valid until Monday, March 03, 2025.
Or
The challan / token number can be paid in three ways: (a) pay challan by visiting a UBL Brach anywhere in Pakistan, (b) through UBL Mobile app if you are
a UBL account holder, or (c) through UBL Omni if you are not a UBL account holder. In either case, the token number is your challan number, which is valid
until Monday, March 03, 2025.
5. APPLICATION PROCESS TO GET ENTRANCE TEST ADMIT CARD

a) After Challan payment, fill in the Application form and select your test center preference. The test center preference should be selected carefully; you
cannot change the test center preference after successful submission of the application, the last date for which is Monday, March 03, 2025.
b) Candidates are required to Print the Admit card on Tuesday, March 04, 2025 (Evening); the card mentions date, time and venue of the test.
c) Candidates are required to appear on the Entrance Exam per the allotted time, date, venue and follow the instructions on the Admit Card. Candidates
will not get a chance to reappear in the Entrance Test, if the allocated slot is missed.
d) The Entrance Test result will be announced on Friday, March 28, 2025.

6. STANDARD OF THE TEST AND SUBJECTS TO BE TESTED

a) The Test would be of Intermediate level. It will be offered in the following combinations: (i) Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, Physics
and Computer Science, (iii) Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, (iv) Biology, Physics and Chemistry and (v) Mathematics, Statistics and
Physics. The duration of the Test will be hundred minutes. Ten questions will be related to English and the rest, i.e., ninety, will equally be divided amongst
the other subjects. Each correct answer is worth four points and for every incorrect answer one point will be deducted. There is no passing threshold
for any program.
 b) The candidates should select a combination from one of the above choices, depending on their subjects in Intermediate (or equivalent).
c) DAE qualified candidates can only choose from the following two options – Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry or Physics, Mathematics,
English and Computer Science.
7. SUPPORT FOR PRINTING OF APPLICATION AND ADMIT CARDS
If required, the candidates may use computer and printer facility, available at any of the test Centers, listed above, from Monday, January 20, 2025, until
Monday, March 03, 2025, between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with a break for prayer, during working days.
8. IMPORTANT DATES
a) The last date for purchasing ONLINE tokens, data entry and filling of application form of entrance test is Monday, March 03, 2025
b) Printing and generation of Admit card / Entrance roll number that mentions the date, time and venue of the test is Tuesday, March 04, 2025 (Evening)
c) In shaa Allah, official result of the Entrance Test will be declared, on the admission portal, on Friday, March 28, 2025.’

9. REQUIREMENT OF PHOTO-ID AT THE TEST CENTER DURING ENTRANCE TEST

Failure to present a photo-ID may result in expulsion from the Test Center. Following forms of photo-IDs are valid: (1) Computerized National Identity Card
CNIC/NICOP; Or (2) Juvenile Card issued by NADRA; Or (3) Matric/Intermediate certificate carrying photograph; Or (4) Computerized domicile certificate bearing
a photograph; Or (5) a Passport; Or (6) Statement of Entry in case of “A” Level students.

10. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

a) A candidate who misses the entrance test in the allotted center during the allotted time slot will not be permitted to retake the exam.
b) Since the test is fully automated, no re-checking facility will be provided.
c) Entrance test token once purchased can’t be refunded / Non transferable at any stage whether utilized or not.
