The aim of this document is to describe the autonomy performance of the BeanDevice SmartSensor and ProcessSensor product line in streaming and streaming packet mode. This document is not intended to show with an extreme precision the autonomy you can expect from our BeanDevice. But you will have an estimated autonomy of the Beandevice operating in an environment with an ambient temperature. Please note that these computed values can change, depending strongly on your environment. By the way, you will find information about interferences on other BeanAir documents.

5. TESTS OVERVIEW
The Beandevice autonomy is given with: o Different data acquisition modes and different sampling rate o Datalogger feature enabled/disabled o Two different RF Power +18 dBm and +15 dBm. Each BeanDevice was powered by an internal battery.
4 BeanDevices were used during these tests: SmartSensor AX-3D (+/- 10g) SmartSensor AX-3D (+/- 2g) SmartSensor HI-INC 30 Bi-axis SmartSensor HI-INC 15 Mono-axis

Figure 1: Global presentation of the system
IMPORTANT:
Note that each autonomy measure was made with one specific BeanDevice. The number of BeanDevices present on each BeanGateway can reduce your BeanDevice autonomy, due to the fact that some BeanDevices of the network can lose some data informations if the network global bandwidth is exceeded. Sampling rate
The BeanDevice autonomy is inversely proportional to the sampling rate confgured on your BeanDevice The Beandevice autonomy will increase if you set the sampling rate at 10 Hz (10 measures per second) than at 1000 Hz (1000 measures per second).
The BeanDevice autonomy is higher in streaming packet mode than in streaming mode, due to the continuous transmissions of the Streaming Mode. Streaming Packet If you modify the data acquisition mode Streaming to Streaming packet, the Beandevice autonomy will increase by 5% mode Vs
Streaming mode
Datalogger feature
The DataLogger feature can influence the BeanDevice autonomy; When the datalogger is activated , the Beandevice autonomy will decrease by 15% ;
RF Power can influence the Beandevice autonomy; If you modify the RF Power 18dBm to 15dBm , the Beandevice autonomy will increase by 2%
