LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM DESIGN

Title School-Based In-Service Training at Balliao Integrated School


School Heads and Teachers

Program Description In developing the DepEd policies and guidelines, teachers and
school heads must undergo several seminar trainings and
workshops in order to ensure the quality of education to be given
to learners. Balliao teaching staff support the programs of DepEd
by enhancing, acquiring, and applying the designed program that
can help them to improve their teaching profession on various
skills such Preparation of Contextualized IM’s, Inter-Active Quiz,
ICT and LIS, School Canteen Management and Liquidation and
Mid-year Review and Assessment of IPCR/OPCR.

Pre-requisite None
Programs

Rationale The changes brought about by various national and global


frameworks such as the K to 12 Reform, ASEAN Integration,
globalization, and the changing character of the 21 st century
learners necessitate the improvements and call for rethinking of
the standards for teacher quality. This training program enables
teachers and school heads to enrich and equip with skills and
given the necessary knowledge or attitude to enable them to carry
out their responsibilities to the required standard on their duties
and responsibilities and to undertake greater and more demanding
roles for effective teaching and learning to happen.
On top of that, the proposed training-workshop will also engage
teachers to embrace continuing effort in enhancing competencies
and for instructional leaders and coaches to provide support
mechanism for teacher’s professional development. It is also a
way of updating teachers' skills and knowledge for improving
teaching and learning which lead to better job performance.

Objectives School-Based In-Service Training has following objectives:


a. To review , assess and accomplish the IPCR of
teachers.
b. To capacitate teachers on how to prepare Inter-Active
Quiz in their lesson
c. To prepare Contextualized IM’s, to deliver teaching-
learning process for a better learning outcomes;
d. Participate on Learners Information System(LIS) and ICT
Workshop.
e. Acquire knowledge on School Canteen management and
Liquidation matters.

teaching and learning processes to meet curriculum
requirements and varied teaching contents (Strand 4.1.2,

4. Adapt and implement learning programs that ensure
relevance and responsiveness to the needs of all learners
(Strand 4.3.2, Domain 4. Curriculum and Planning)
5. Apply a personal philosophy of teaching that is learner-
centered (Strand 7.1.2, Domain 7. Growth and
Professional Development)

elementary teachers and 4 Secondary teachers of Balliao IS of
Benito Soliven South District which compose of TIC and
Teachers

CONDUCT OF 3- DAY SCHOOL-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING

To: Elementary /Secondary School Heads


All Teachers of Balliao IS (Elem.&Sec.)

1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 029 s. 2021 titled School Calendar of Activities for School
Year 2021-2022, the schedule for the five-day Mid-Year In-Service Training (INSET) shall
be on January 31, 2022, and February 2-5,2022. This training aims to capacitate the school
heads and teachers on the implementation of educational programs, projects and activities, as
well as to review the performance of the school and its staff.

2. School-Based In-Service Training has following objectives:


a. Understand the effectiveness of different modalities on delivering a lesson
b. Make effective instructional materials in least competencies of different subject area.
3. The participants to the training-workshop are all the teachers of Balliao Integrated School of
Benito Soliven South.

4. Participants are required to bring the following:


a. Curriculum Guide 2016 (All learning areas per grade level)
b. Teachers’ Guide and Learners’ Materials
c. IPCRF
d. Laptop, extension cord, and wifi

5. Expenses relative to the School In-Service Training shall be charged against the local funds
to cover training supplies and materials, meals and snacks, administrative cost, and other
incidental expenses subject to the usual accounting procedures.

6. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum is earnestly desired.
