WHAT IS LEARNER
FRIENDLY

EVALUATION?
Learner friendly evaluation refers to an
evaluation process that is learner-centred,
where the pupils have the right to learn to
their fullest potential within a safe
environment.
• Learner friendly evaluation consider child’s
tangible and intangible experiences, scholastic
and non scholastic activities.

• It should follow principle like flexibility and


simplicity.

• It should accurately evaluate a child’s


strength and weakness in the overall
performance of a child.
FEATURES OF EVALUATION
• Evaluation is a broader term than measurement.
• It is comprehensive.
• Beyond a numerical value, It could explain about
the overall performance of a child in a qualitative
way.
• Evaluation is a systematic process of collecting,
analyzing and interpreting information.
• Under school system, we are now following CCE
(continuous and comprehensive evaluation) system.
PURPOSE OF LEARNER
FRIENDLY EVALUATION
DIAGNOSIS
• This is the purpose of evaluation
when it is used to help us locate and
identify the weakness in learning on
the part of a learner.
SELECTION
• This will be the purpose of evaluation when it help
us select suitable person for a career or course.
• Eg : During our last visit to Mahatma buds school,
we’ve seen that some students were selected as
gardeners and some others as employees in other
areas, according to their interest and aptitude.
PREDICTION
• This will be the purpose of evaluation when it help
us discover potential abilities and attitude among
the testers which eventually can be developed into
expertise in a given field of learning or career.
GRADING
• This purpose is served when evaluation help us
rank order the learners of a given group.
GUIDANCE
• This is the purpose of evaluation when it assists a
person in making decision about courses and
careers.
1.Differentiated instruction

• Differentiated instruction is a teaching method in


which teachers adapt their instruction to
accommodate a variety of learning needs.

• It is proactively developing a variety of teaching


materials so that all students within a classroom can
learn effectively regardless of differences in learning
style or academic skill.

• It helps in the improvement of student learning
achievement.

• It is a strategy where higher-


performing student are paired with
lower- performing student or
students with disabilities to review or
teach academic material.
Lesson plan

• A learning disabled lesson plan should


always include a need assessment,
objectives, materials, teaching methods,
lesson content and structure, and
assessment.
