Dr. Calago steps down, Mrs. Umadhay

takes over as CCI's new principal
Claret College of Isabela (CCI) welcomed the new year with a leadership change in the Basic
Education Department. On January 6, 2025, a turnover ceremony was held to transition
leadership from Dr. Arnie A. Calago to Mrs. Lourdes S. Umadhay.
Dr. Calago, who served as the department head for 23 years, expressed her gratitude for
the support and dedication she received from the CCI community. She shared that she had turned
down other opportunities to remain at CCI, stating that leadership transitions are a natural part of
growth and progress. Dr. Calago’s tenure was marked by several milestones, and her leadership
has left a lasting impact on the department.
Mrs. Umadhay, the incoming Basic Education Principal, shared her excitement for her
new role and vision for the department. She emphasized the importance of working together as a
community, students, teachers, parents, and staff toward building a strong future for the school.
“Together, we can continue nurturing the talents of our students and create a legacy for CCI,” she
said.
While Dr. Calago’s departure marks the end of an era, the turnover ceremony highlighted
the beginning of a new chapter for CCI. The department now looks forward to Mrs. Umadhay’s
leadership, which is expected to bring fresh ideas and perspectives. This leadership transition
marks a new phase for the Basic Education Department, with both Dr. Calago’s legacy and Mrs.
Umadhay’s vision playing important roles in shaping the future of CCI.
With this transition, the Basic Education Department at CCI is assured for continued
growth. Mrs. Umadhay’s leadership is expected to focus on further strengthening the educational
experience for students, emphasizing collaboration and innovation as she emphasized in her
speech. As CCI moves forward under her guidance, the community remains committed to
upholding the values of excellence for every student.
CCI Scholars Clean Up for CHED

Director’s Visit
Scholars of Claret College of Isabela, Inc. (CCI) gathered on January 28, 2025, to conduct a
general cleaning in preparation for the upcoming visit of CHED Regional Director IX, Marco
Cicero F. Domingo, CESE.
The clean-up aimed to ensure a well-maintained and organized environment ahead of the
official visit. Scholars worked together to clean classrooms, hallways, and the lobby and other
areas.
The purpose of the visit remains unspecified, but the preparation for the event emphasizes
the school’s value to maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors.
CCI successfully hosts life-saving blood

donation drive
On January 17, 2025, Claret College of Isabela (CCI) held a successful blood donation drive at
the CCI Diamond Building, demonstrating the community’s commitment to social responsibility.
The event was a collaboration between CCI, the Isabela City Red Cross, and the Isabela City
Local Government Unit, with support from the City Health Office.
Led by Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, Mr. Glofel Sollamillo, students and teachers
actively participated in the drive. Their involvement highlights the CCI community’s dedication
to helping others, as the blood donated has the potential to save lives. This event also fosters a
culture of compassion and social responsibility within the school.

students into the teaching profession. The ceremony - held on November 27 at the
Covered Court - was a deeply moving and spiritually enriching event that celebrated the
students' achievements and prepared them for their future roles as educators.

 January 25, 2025, the CCIAA FC Officers and members came together to clean the CCI
