INTRODUCTION
My name is Ramlex J. Bancure, and I am currently a criminology intern at Cor Jesu College.
As a criminology student with a strong passion for understanding crime, justice, and the law,
this internship offers me the invaluable opportunity to apply my academic knowledge in a
real-world setting.
I am currently pursuing my degree in Criminology at Cor Jesu College, where I have gained
a solid foundation in criminological theories, criminal justice policies, law enforcement
practices, and the criminal legal system. During my internship, As part of my academic
journey toward earning my degree in Criminology, I had the unique opportunity to undergo
On-the-Job Training (OJT) with several agencies]. This internship was an exciting and
invaluable experience, as it allowed me to apply the knowledge and skills I’ve gained in the
classroom to real-world scenarios in the criminal justice field. On August 30, 2024, we began
our pre-deployment, and on October 7, 2024, we began our Agency deployment. The
complete internship began on August 12, 2024, and ended on December 13, 2024.
Throughout this period, I have had the chance to observe, participate in, and reflect on
various aspects of criminology, from law enforcement to criminal investigations, and the
justice system.
In addition to my academic background, I bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and
the ability to approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset. I am excited to learn from
the experienced professionals in my internship and contribute to meaningful work that
impacts the community and the criminal justice system.
I look forward to applying the theories I have learned in the classroom to real-life situations
and gaining a deeper understanding of how criminology plays a critical role in shaping our
society’s approach to crime, law, and justice. My time as a criminology intern has been one
of the most enriching experiences of my academic journey. It has given me the opportunity
to bridge the gap between theory and practice, to develop essential skills, and to gain
deeper insight into the complexities of the criminal justice system. I’ve learned that
criminology is not only about understanding crime but also about actively contributing to the
solutions, whether through investigation, legal work, or community engagement.
This internship has reinforced my passion for criminology and has further solidified my desire
to pursue a career in this field. I am excited to continue building on the knowledge and skills
I’ve gained here and to contribute to a more just society in the future.

The Basic Emergency Care Training and Seminar was an eye-opening and informative
experience. The seminar was designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and
skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. As someone who has always been
interested in healthcare and helping others, this training
provided a much-needed foundation in basic first aid,
bandaging, and how to handle various emergencies,
including medical and trauma situations. It really helps us
interns to have a another knowledge about how we respond
and it’s an amazing experience because we get to see the
capacity of our potentiality of being in some kind of situation
where use the purpose of this seminar. While the seminar
was incredibly informative, there were a few challenges. For one, some of the material was a
bit overwhelming at first. The vast range of scenarios that can occur in emergencies felt
daunting, and at times, I found myself wondering if I would be able to remember everything
when faced with a real-life situation. Additionally, some of the
physical skills, like performing bandaging, required practice to
build muscle memory. The pressure of performing these tasks
in a simulated environment felt different from the calm
atmosphere of the training room, but I understand that this is a
skill that comes with repeated practice and real-world
experience. Overall, I feel much more prepared to handle
emergency situations after attending this seminar. The trainers
were knowledgeable and approachable, and they made sure
to emphasize the importance of staying calm and acting quickly. I also learned a lot from the
discussions and shared experiences of other participants, which gave me a better
understanding of the wide variety of situations that could arise. I now understand that
emergency care isn't just about knowing the technical skills but also about maintaining
composure and being able to think critically in high-pressure situations. The key takeaway
for me was the importance of acting fast but not rushing. Timing is critical, but a thoughtful
approach can save lives.

RECEPTION
RITES
The reception
rites, a simple yet
meaningful
ceremony to test
and gauge the
physical strength
of the interns before the formal start of their deployment. This was the moment that all of us
wanted to quit but we didn’t. At first, it started out nice and great because we were prepared
of the activity that implemented for us. And when the time comes that all of us are getting
exhausted, we didn’t think of anything but to keep moving forward until we reach the finish
line. I enjoyed it so much because it has given us the challenges that a team may face until
the end. My patience has literally been tested in this activity and not only my patience but
also my physicality. It was literally a challenging activity for us and all of us really reached to
the finish line and celebrate with a proper decorum with our seniors and our program head. I
am so thankful for this ceremony because it has given us the path of being a snappy intern.
Despite the joy of the day, there were a few moments of stress leading up to the event. One
of the challenges was making sure I had everything ready—my attire, my speech (if
applicable), and just being prepared to take part in the event smoothly. There was a moment
of panic when I realized I had forgotten to bring a small part of my attire, but with some quick
thinking and help from others, I was able to recover quickly.
Another surprise was how emotional I became during certain parts of the ceremony. I hadn't
anticipated how overwhelming the support of my friends and family would feel. When I
looked out and saw the pride in their eyes, it was a moment of deep emotional connection. It
was more than just a personal achievement; it was a shared moment with the people who
had cheered me on every step of the way. Looking back on the Reception Rites, I feel a
deep sense of fulfillment. The event wasn’t just about celebrating a specific achievement; it
was about acknowledging the journey, the growth, and the lessons learned along the way. It
was a reminder that milestones aren’t just moments of arrival—they are symbols of all the
hard work, sacrifices, and support that have helped us get there.
I was also struck by the sense of gratitude that filled me throughout the day. I realized how
much I had been given—whether in the form of support from my family, the wisdom from
mentors, or the strength I had found within myself. It was a humbling experience, and I left
the ceremony feeling
more connected to the
people around me and
more inspired to
continue working toward
new goals.

BADGING
Badging and Donning of ranks. This is the moment where all of our hard-works from the
beginning has been finally paid off and it will be the start of a our new journey in our
internship program. This is the time where all of us interns wore our Type A uniform for the
first time and it was a memorable experience because it’s a ceremony we tend to do to have
a recognition for our challenges we faced during the first month of our internship and the day
our reception rights has happened. It was a joyful moment for all of us and everybody was
happy and proud. When my name was called in front with a rank called captain, I was shy
because I am not really used to this kind of ceremony and I was very happy because it’s the
first time of life. I know this is not much of a big deal for some but when it comes to myself, it
was a very memorable experience. I am happy and proud of myself, my parents were happy
and everybody else were happy. Looking back on the Badging and Donning of Ranks
ceremony, I can honestly say it was one of the most significant experiences of my life. The
event was not just about receiving recognition; it was about acknowledging the hard work,
dedication, and growth that had gone into reaching this point. It was a reminder that all the
challenges, sacrifices, and lessons learned were worth it, and that this new rank was just the
beginning of a new chapter in my journey. The ceremony also gave me a renewed sense of
responsibility. The badge or rank was not just a symbol of accomplishment—it was a symbol
of the trust and responsibility that came with it. I knew that I had to continue to grow, to learn,
and to contribute in
meaningful ways. The
ceremony
reminded me that I was
not only
representing myself
but also the values
and principles that the
rank stood for.

SELF-AWARENESS SEMINAR
I really enjoyed this seminar because it has given me a lot of realization in life. I was amazed
by my classmates because I didn’t expect that they were going to show their emotions. They
expresses their feelings and show their soft sides even the
strong ones. I was really amazed and it has given me
goosebumps realizing that a person who shows lack of
emotions on the outside or always smile and laugh at normal
day really let all their feelings out for the whole CSP SINAG
ALAS to see. It really is amazing how an individual is good at
hiding their emotions and act like they feel nothing. Even me,
as an individual who has some secret battles to fight, I
showed my emotions and help them understand what I’m
going through in my life. This seminar really was a great opportunity to all people because it
really can help every person to release the tension of what they’re feeling. We cried, shared
a laughter and bond together like a family and I am so thankful for this to happen because I
know it will help me and all of my fellow interns to become a better version of ourselves. The
Self-Awareness Seminar has motivated me to continue exploring my inner self and to
embrace personal growth with open arms. I plan to integrate mindfulness practices into my
daily routine and make a conscious effort to regularly
reflect on my emotions and reactions. I also hope to
engage in more seminars and activities that promote
self-awareness, as I now recognize how important it is
for overall well-being. The Self-Awareness Seminar
was a life-changing experience that opened my eyes
to the power of introspection, emotional awareness,
and mindfulness. It gave me a deeper understanding
of myself and empowered me to make more informed
and intentional decisions. I left the seminar feeling
more confident, grounded,
and ready to embrace the
journey of self-
improvement. This
experience has made me realize
that true growth comes from
understanding who you are —and I
am excited to continue this journey
of self-discovery.

NEURO EXAM
I already heard about the neuro exam because my father already told me about it. He said
should be prepared on that exam when applying for the PNP. I didn’t know that there was
gonna be a nuero exam on our internship. The day of the neuro exam was both fascinating
and eye-opening. The patient I observed (or participated in the examination of) was an older
adult who had been experiencing some confusion and slight weakness on one side of their
body. The neuro exam was intended to assess if there were any underlying neurological
conditions that could explain these symptoms.
The exam was structured into several steps, each focusing on a different aspect of the
nervous system. I had the opportunity to observe each phase and even participate in a few
of the assessments. Common sense is the only thing needed for a person to take this exam.
At first, I thought is was going to be difficult because my father said that some questions in
the neuro exams are tricky. But when we started the
exam, it was going great because the questions were
easy to understand and the patterns were easy to
identify. When the we were about in the middle part of
the exam, it was getting a little difficult. I was getting a
headache but not that much. I enoyed the exam until I
was finish and satisfied of myself because I didn’t left
any unanswered questions of each items. As I
reflected on the experience, I realized just how
important a neurological exam is in helping doctors
understand the state of a patient's nervous system.
The exam provided immediate insight into the patient’s condition and helped guide the next
steps in diagnosis or treatment.
From a personal perspective, participating in the neuro exam reinforced my passion for
understanding the complexities of the human body. I was amazed by how each part of the
exam – from cognitive testing to motor and sensory assessments – contributed to building a
complete picture of the patient’s health. It was a reminder of how much medical
professionals must know in order to make accurate assessments and diagnoses.

OFFICE OF THE CITY PROSECUTOR - DIGOS
On our first day at the Prosecutor's Office, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. The
day started with an orientation where I was introduced to the office's structure, policies, and
my tasks as an intern. I met the staff, including the prosecutors and administrative
personnel, who warmly welcomed us. They explained the importance of confidentiality and
professionalism, which set the tone for my responsibilities. Observing the office environment
gave me a glimpse of how legal work operates in practice, and I was eager to learn more. I
focused on learning the office procedures. I assisted in organizing case files, labeling
evidence, and ensuring documents were filed correctly. One of the most valuable lessons I
learned was the importance of attention to detail. A small error in a legal document could
lead to significant consequences. I also attended my first case briefing, where I observed
how prosecutors prepare for hearings. It was fascinating to see the application of legal
principles I had previously studied in school. As I became more comfortable with my duties, I
was entrusted with more responsibilities. I drafted basic legal documents, such as affidavits
and motions, under the supervision of my mentor. This hands-on experience allowed me to
apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world
context. I also conducted initial reviews of case
files to identify missing documentation or
inconsistencies. My mentor’s feedback was
invaluable in refining my skills and boosting my
confidence. As my OJT experience came to an
end, I reflected on how much I had grown
professionally and personally. I gained a deeper
appreciation for the hard work and dedication of
those in the legal profession. The prosecutors and
staff were not only mentors but also role models
who inspired me to
pursue my career goals with integrity
and diligence.There is a
little celebration on our last day and it
was really joyful. We help each other
prepare for our lunch to eat with
the fiscal’s and staff and it was
wonderful. On my last day, I
expressed my gratitude to
everyone who had guided and
supported me throughout this
journey.
