Darkness Area1:

Falling to the dark

This is a night, you can say it is scary night, a special

night or a unusual night. Whatever so darkness it is! Can

you imaging, that dark you can’t describe it like “dim” or

“gloomy”. Although it is the “Idus Night”, but the vividness

moonlight is playing Hide and Seek. Strangely, there have

no rain in this stormy night. Well, it's really indescribable, I

think profound is more appropriate or better understood. It

gives a special feeling, mostly like eternity. Then, not only

darkness, thundering breaking the quite air, lightning

crashing the gloomy cloud in to pieces, strong wind

tearing the dim sky, howling from the deep hell is the

scariest thing. But why there are shadows of four,

sometimes hidden and disappear, sometimes reveal and

appear.

“How ridiculous!” said Chris, “In a rainy, stormy night,

there are four big idiot on the road that going to boring

noisy party.”
 “Don’t be too negative dude!” Jack retorted “What a

perfect night for adventure! Don’t you think? A exited,

exclaimed, interesting night, it will be a great journey, I’m

so expect.” “You're getting really neurotic, Jack” Roger

said helplessly. “That is super right.”. Jack twitch his

mouth “Anyway, it's our friend's birthday too, so you can't

be a coward just because of this. No matter what, I'm

always going!”. Roger and Chris are pretended not to hear.

Chris mumble “Can’t stand in this guy’s temper”.

“I…I don’t think so.” a trembling voice said vaguely “The

weather seem doesn’t good , it really a bad to go to a

party, party shouldn’t hold in the night like this.”

It is Edward, who was drag to the party.

“Don’t be afraid my dear Edward, there are some

thunder and lightning and wind, but they won’t hurt you.

Just relax bro, Follow my step, you will be okay!” Jack

comforted.
 “Yes, storm is nothing, but for Edward it is the hurricanes

and tornadoes” Chris scoffed. That amused everyone

except Edward.

“That not funny! Not at all. Don't you think it's strange?

This night is so abnormal, maybe there might be some evil

things here.”

“Haha! You must have read too many horror novels.

What the hell are you afraid of?” Chris laughed.

Edward said he wasn't afraid at all, and it wasn't because

he was afraid to say it. But his goosebumps and his

shaking voice was gave him away.

“Stop scaring him, Chris.” “I’m not, I was just chatting

with him.”

Three brat was talking while walk, The three boys were

walking and talking, but they didn't notice that Roger's

face gradually darkened. “Hey, I think Edward didn’t

nonsense. Since we set off, the sky has gotten darker and
darker…….” “Forgive my interrupt, Isn't this normal? The

sun absent and darkness should go to work.” “Please let

me finish. The darkness is totally out of it’s characteristic,

it's past the time when it gets dark. It's 8:00 now, but it's

shall we go! We must run now, I must come back to home.

I can’t die now, not today!” He was just about to for back,

Roger grab his collar, “Stop running! it’s too dark now,

you will gonna died faster if you move alone. Listen, this is
definitely not a joke, we don’t know what the hell’s going

on. Acting together is the most practical, effective and

safe way to face the unknown things. So, if you want to

live, stay with us and follow our footsteps closely. Then

don’t be afraid and panic, Jack, Chris and I will protect you,

you just need obey my words, okay?” “Okay, I’ll listen to

you.” Edward calmed down a bit.

“Hey Jack! what are you going to do?” Roger asked Jack

suddenly, “Shall we come back?”

“We won’t come back!” Jack said absolutely, “We are too

far from home. But we're not far from our friend's house, I

know a shortcut, only 1 minute we can arrive. Just trust

me!”

“Do you trust him?”

“No time to judge, waiting for one second longer

increases the chance of death by one percent.” Roger

replied calmly, “Just move now, quick!”

dark. Suddenly, Jack stopped. “I can't go on anymore” Jack

anything. But we are near Amy’s house.”

rain pouring down. It was like a bag full of water suddenly

being pierced by a sharp knife.

“Oh come on! What a bad luck!” Chris complained.

“Be joyful, buddy. At least the rain will make the air less

stuffy, and the sky should be much brighter after the rain.”

said Jack.

“You are right, but, why the ‘rain’ feels so slimy, it

doesn't feel like water. then why I smell the ‘bloody

smell’’, are any of you hurt or bleeding? It’s getting

stronger.”
 Before the reply, the moonlight penetrated the clouds

like a white blade and hit the four of them right where

they were. “Look! what did I just say?” while Jack wanted

to brag, he stopped abruptly. Not only him, but also the

other three. At that moment, there was unprecedented

fear on everyone's faces, as if they had seen a ghost or

lost their souls. Their bodies, as if they had been baptized

with blood, looked even brighter and redder under the

moonlight.

“Ah---------” After the deathly silence, four people

screamed at the same time, then took several steps back.

“Are you all seriously injured?" Jack forced himself to

hold back a sentence.

“No, no one had hurt. Look at the sky, It wasn't raining

just now, it was bleeding.” Roger suppressed his fear to

bring clearly to his brain.

Edward, who is usually the tiniest, spoke up, “Should we

find a safe place to rest first? The danger will be even

Edward's words awakened everyone. “You are right,

we’d better to go.” said Jack, “Brothers, there didn’t have

still be afraid? Come on! Get up!”

Chris

person to recover from this huge panic.” Roger echoed

supernatural events, we'll talk about them at Amy's

house.” Jack said, “ We’ll arrive after we cross the path in

front.”

Everyone agrees with this statement.

darkness enveloped everything again.

“Oh no, It’s dark again.” Chris said.

“Jack, Call Amy right now. We can’t even a bit of time.”

said Roger, “Any of you have a light……...” Edward

interrupted their conversation.

“Sorry to interrupt you Roger. The ground and earth

becomes soft, isn’t it?”

“You're scaring yourself again, Ed……wait a minute……

Oh my God! I’m really feel I’m falling!” Chris' originally

calm mood suddenly became agitated. “It can’t be true, It

can’t be real! That’s must be my hallucination or my

dreammates, I need wake up now.”

“I feel it too!” Jack and Roger shouted at the same time.

“You can feel it, so it mean you are not dreaming. This is

reality!” Roger pretended to be calm, “Jack, Are you lead

us to a swamp?”
 “That is impossible, this road are made with rock, It’s

not like you’ve never walked this road before.”

By the time they reacted, it was already too late. Their

bodies would sink much faster in the swamp. They began

to struggle desperately, but to no avail. This is completely

different from the real swamp. Your body sinks in it not

because of the same suction as in a swamp. It's like you're

stepping on nothingness, just like falling, only slower.

One by one, they disappeared into this void. Silently and

without a trace, it was as if nothing had happened. At that

moment, no one knew they had disappeared, and no one

knew they had ever existed. Everything about them is like

dust floating in the air in reality, has it been forgotten

forever(forever?).
