INHALATION
Short Term Exposure: Irritation (possibly severe), nausea, irregular heartbeat, headache, symptoms of drunkenness, lung
congestion, blood disorders.
Long Term Exposure: Chest pain, reproductive effects, effects on the brain cancer.
SKIN CONTACT
Short Term Exposure: Irritation, tingling sensation, same as effects reported in other routes of exposure.
Long Term Exposure: Same as effects reported in short term exposure
EYE CONTACT
Short Term Exposure: Irritation
Long Term Exposure: Same as effects reported in short term exposure.
INGESTION
Short term exposure: Symptoms of drunkenness, tingling sensation, blood disorders, convulsions.
Long Term Exposure: No information on significant adverse effects.
GENERAL
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person.
INHALATION
Remove patient to fresh air and seek medical assistance. Keep patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped,
administer artificial respiration. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious place in recover position.
SKIN CONTACT
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Cover the irritated skin with an emollient. Remove
contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse.
EYE CONTACT
Check and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with copious amount of water for at least
15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
INGESTION
Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Loosen tight clothing such as collar, tie belt or waistband. Get medical attention if symptoms persist.
SPECIAL HAZARDS DUE TO THE SUBSTANCE, ITS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS OR GASES PRODUCED BY
FIRE
Thermal decomposition products are halogenated compounds, oxides of carbon and phosgene.
CLEANING MEASURES
Clean preferably with detergent, avoid the use of solvents. If the product enters drains or sewers, the local water company
should be contacted immediately, in the case of contamination of streams, rivers or lakes, the Environment Agency.
HANDLING
Instructions for safe handling:
Prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapour in air and avoid vapour concentrations higher than
the occupational exposure limits.
Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapor and spray mist.
Smoking, eating and drinking are forbidden in application area. For personal protection see section 8. Comply with the
health and safety work laws.
Isolate from sources of heat, sparks and open flame. Do not use any sparking tools.
Product may charge electrostatically: always use earthing leads when transferring from one container to another and earth
containers. It is recommended that operators should wear anti-static clothing and footwear.
During spray application ventilation inside the spray booth is unlikely to be sufficient to control aerosols and solvent vapors
in all cases. In such circumstances operators should wear appropriate respiratory equipment during the spraying process.
STORAGE
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Electrical equipment must be explosion-proof to the appropriate standard. Floors must be conducting type and impermeable
to the materials being stored.
Keep container tightly closed. Never use pressure to empty: container is not a pressure vessel. Containers which are
opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. No smoking. Prevent unauthorized access.
ENGINEERING MEASURES
Provide adequate ventilation. This can be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation a good general extraction. If
these are not sufficient to maintain concentrations at the workplace below the occupational exposure limits, suitable

Vapour respirator. Be sure to use an approved/ certified respirator or equivalent. Wear appropriate respirator when
ventilation is inadequate.
Hand Protection:
Use suitable protective gloves e.g. plastic or rubber gloves.
Eye Protection:
Required when there is a risk of eye contact.

Heat, flames and sparks. Containers may rupture or explode if exposed to heat.
