Temperature Sensors
Introduction
The A99 Temperature sensor line offers an
economical solution for a wide variety of
temperature sensing needs, in the cooling,
heating, ventilation and air conditioning
application field.
- bulb sensors
- bulb well sensors
- room sensors
- outdoor sensors
- duct sensors
- rod sensors
- strap-on sensors
❏ Wide range of enclosures for Various models are available to match a wide
sensing elements variety of temperature sensing needs
❏ PG 13,5 cable inlet for all models Protection against humidity and firm fixation
with polycarbonate housing of cable
❏ 3 types of sensor cable PVC, PVC with shield or silicon cable allows
mounting at various applications
PT-100 or PT-1000 sensors (Platinum based) are a) Read the resistance value at the requested
more accurate, but have a low resistance temperature setting
variation per °C.
b) The cable resistance can be calculated using
the formula:
The A99 series combines the advantages of
PT-100 sensors and normal PTC sensors. Each

check for proper sensor resistance will quickly
determine if the sensor or the controller is at
fault.
To check the sensor resistance: Sensor Accuracy
1 Disconnect the sensor from the controller Sensor accuracy is within 0.5 °C between -15
2 Take a temperature reading at the sensor and 75 °C. tolerance increases at temperatures
location. Be sure to let the thermometer stabilise outside this range, as shown below.
before taking a reading
3 Use an ohmmeter to take a reading of the
resistance across the two sensor leads. (Note:
the max. current flow through the sensor should
be <10mA)
4 Consult Temperature Resistance Table.
(Include cable resistance when sensor cable is
lengthened).
