BASIOXx Temperature Monitoring System INTRODUCTION Distributed Temperature Sensors leverage the Raman effect, utilizing light to measure temperature within an optical fiber. A laser sends im im fan incident light pulse co through the fiber, with most of it traveling along, but a small portion scattering at various ‘Laser pulse goes within a fiber scattering in al directions. ‘=S Caleulated from intensity ratio of “stokes light” & “antl-stokes light" en Lrnr Ce points. While Rayleigh cause ins Ba” 7 scattering shares the a = incident light's x — wavelength, the Raman effect produces scattered light with a different wavelength, influenced by factors such as temperature changes along the optical fiber. This technology provides precise and distributed temperature monitoring for di applications. FEATURES AND BENEFITS + Underground installation of the system to avoid detection by external sources. + Use of single-mode fiber cable (easily available) to minimize loss + Very less maintenance + Minimal cost of maintenance as negligible wearing-tearing occurs = Completely passive sensor, no electrical parts or electricity is required along the fiber sensor + Immune to Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) and RFI + Exceptionally low noise density and Standard analog output + Small, lightweight and cost effective + High reliability and environmental stability + Plug-and-play system + Large perimeter coverage = Advanced signal processing and control instrumentation + Precise and faultless device operation + Timely and intelligent spotting of intrusion /intruder location = Speedy notification to control facilities/guards via alarm system Applications: Oil & Gas Pipeline | Data Centre | Hospitals | HVAC Systems | Smart Cities | Transformers | Fire Safety '5 Puffin Way, Reading Berkshire RG2 OWS, UK Technical Specifications of BC-TM/MON-XX Fiber sensor cable length As per the requirement BASIOX Underground Deployment Sensing Element Optical Fiber Single Mode / Multi Mode Sensing range 5 to25m Maximum to Either side of sensor Fiber Diameter 9/125 microns 62.5/125 micron Single Mode Fiber Multi Mode Fiber Sensitivity Rate Hz Ground vibration* Data Interface RS232/USB Control system Operating Temperatures |-40 to +70 0°C Subjected to testing Optical Connector type | SC PC/APC.
