Directions: Read the sentences. Circle the adverbs that tell when.

Adverbs in a Story
Directions: Read the story below.
Sarah loves ice cream sundaes. It is her favorite
type of dessert. First, Sarah slowly scoops out a
huge serving of vanilla ice cream into a dish. Then
she quickly adds some chocolate sauce. After
that, Sarah carefully sprinkles some peanuts on top
and happily adds a cherry. Sarah quickly grabs a
spoon and begins eating her favorite dessert.
