One of the mandates set by the University Grants Commission to achieve
euality in Higher
Education is Student Induction Programme. UGC has notified "Deeksharambh"- A guide to
Student Induction Programme which can be accessed at (https://wlvw.ugc.gov.in/e-
book/DEEKSHARAMBH-ENGLISH.pdf), with the aim of making the transition from
Secondary to College/University effortless

As the Academic Session is likely to commence soon, you are requested to kindly take appropriate
initiatives to organize Student Induction Programmes for newly admitted students in your
university and upload an Action Plan/Photographs/Videos of the Induction Programme actually
conducted on UGC's University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) https://uamp.ugc.ac.in/.
You are also requested to provide necessary instructions in this regard to the Colleges/lnstitutions
affiliated to your university.
