AGENDA

Agenda 1: Approval of Academic Calendar

The time table committee presented the academic calendar and time table for the BDS First,
Second, Third and Final year for the Academic Session 2022-2023 which also includes tentative
details /schedule of the internal assessment. The Academic Schedule was prepared as per the DCI
Schedule of Academic Program and tentative schedule of BDS Main examination given by the
University.

Decision: The Dean approved the Academic Calendar and time table.

Agenda 2: Curriculum Delivery

The HODs of all the department submitted the Curriculum Delivery Schedule of each department.
Curriculum delivery is achieved through Pedagogy , Laboratory exercises and Clinical Duty. Pedagogy
is achieved through theory sessions by lectures, journal club, seminars ,symposium and teaching
skills. Laboratory exercises are important before student can treat the actual patient in the clinic.

Decision: The Dean conveyed the satisfaction that the Curriculum delivery schedule is in line with
the syllabus of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of
Chhattisgarh and the latest Dental Council of India guidelines . The Dean also emphasize the
importance of strictly following the DCI guidelines.

Regular Mentor-Mentee interactions are to be held in a organized manner. Every mentor should be
involved in “head-to-head” interaction with allotted Mentee. If required, the mentor can
recommend to the concerned HOD , to arrange for special remedial classes for students who are in
need for additional help to improve performance .

Marks of the Internal assessment should be reviewed and remedial classes should be scheduled.
Information regarding student attendance and our academic related activities is also sent to the
registered mobile numbers/address of their parents .

Agenda 3: Curriculum Enrichment

All the members expressed the need of curriculum enrichment through seminars , workshops , and
conferences. This is helpful to keep both Faculty as well as students alongside with the recent
advances. Value added courses like Continuing Dental Education Program and workshop on current
scenario, soft skill program, practice management, aptitude program, personality development
program, yoga, meditation, time management, spiritual discourses, awareness program on
traditional remedies like ayurvedas, etc. should be introduced.

Decision : The Dean instructed all the members to conduct CDE, in the form of webinar from each
department . The Dean also asked all the HODs to encourage the faculty and students to attend and
submit paper in the speciality conference .

Agenda 4 : Feedback system


The analysis of the feedback related to curriculum and teaching was presented. These feedbacks
were collected from the various associates like teachers, students, alumni , professionals and
employees. Members suggested that the software should be developed for the collection of
feedback.

Decision: The Dean instructed the HODs to review the feedback . HODs should formally interact with
the faculty and make necessary improvements based on the feedback from students on teaching .
Feedback on curriculum from various associates should be used to identify the aspects requiring
greater elaboration . CDEs / workshops, webinars are conducted to cover these aspects. Students
should be encouraged to participate in webinars , CDE , workshops etc. to enhance learning
initiatives beyond the syllabus and broad understanding of the subject.

Agenda 1: Academic calendar

Academic calendar was distributed among Management , all faculty and students .

Agenda 2: Curriculum Delivery

The HODs of all the department prepared the Teaching-Learning Strategy. The strategy consisted of
both Didactic as well as Non-Didactic methods . Didactic method include lectures taken by the
faculty. Non-Didactic methods include practical/clinical teaching, demonstration teaching , tutorials
, seminars, problem based learning, integrated teaching .

The institution has an actively functioning Mentor-Mentee program where students of every
academic year are divided into batches and mentors are assigned to them . Mentor-Mentee
interaction are held regularly in a well-defined structured manner .Head –to—Head interaction
between mentor and their allotted mentee are held .Each mentors makes all the effort to ensure
that the students prepare and participate not only in various academic but also extra curricular
activities .

The institute have a system where information regarding student attendance and other academic
related activities is send to the registered mobile numbers/address of their parents .

Agenda 3: Curriculum Enrichment

Faculty and Post graduate students have been informed to attend speciality conference and also
present papers .The file of conferences attended, paper presented and awards if any are regularly
maintained in each department.

All the HODs are in contact with the course co-ordinator for the conduction of CDE.

Agenda 4 : Feedback system

The system of collecting the feedback from various associates are in place. Feedback collected from
various stakeholders are analysed . CDEs/workshops are conducted to cover the topics requiring
greater elaboration.
