Hyperion Foundation Services
Hyperion Foundation Services
Oracle Hyperion Foundation Services software provides a single, shared infrastructure to install the EPM system, manage users, security, metadata and the application lifecycle. By combining the technologies to install and configure all modules, centrally create and provision user security, build and manage EPM applications and to consume EPM content via the web and through Microsoft Office, Foundation Services can ease the deployment of your Hyperion implementation - large or small. And, since Foundation Services provides easy integration with BI tools, applications, and portals through an open, service-oriented architecture, it can enhance productivity and reduce TCO of existing information technology assets in your organization. Foundation Services includes the following components: Hyperion Shared Services, Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Architect,, Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Calculation Manager, Fusion Edition, Oracle Hyperion Workspace and Oracle Hyperion Smart View for Office.
The View pane is a navigation frame where you can choose objects (such as user directories, users, groups, roles, application groups, and applications). Typically, details of your current selection in the View pane are displayed on the Browse tab. Additional task tabs open as needed, depending on the task that you perform; for example, a Report tab opens when you generate a report, and a Configure tab opens when you configure a user directory. Depending on the current configuration, Shared Services Console lists your existing objects in the View pane. You can expand these object listings to view details. For example, you may expand the User Directories node to view a list of configured user directories. You may also search configured user directories for users and groups. A shortcut menu, accessible by right-clicking an object, is associated with some objects in the View pane. Shortcut menus associated with objects in the View pane provide the quickest method to perform operations on the objects. Options in shortcut menus change dynamically, depending on what you select. The commands displayed in the shortcut menu also are available on a menu in the menu bar. Buttons representing enabled menu options are displayed on the toolbar.
