Software Requirements Specification (SRS)

Online Ticketing System with Dynamic Pricing

 Following IEEE Standard 830-1998

1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this document is to define the Software
Requirements Specification (SRS)
for an Online Ticketing System with Dynamic Pricing. This
system will allow users to book
tickets, view real-time price variations, and make secure
payments.

1.2 Document Conventions

This document follows the IEEE SRS format and uses
standard terminology for requirement
specifications.

1.3 Intended Audience and Reading Suggestions

The intended audience includes developers, testers,
project managers, and stakeholders
involved in the development and maintenance of the
system.

1.4 Product Scope

The Online Ticketing System provides a platform for users
to search, book, and manage
tickets with dynamic pricing based on demand and
availability. It ensures a seamless
booking experience with secure payment and order
tracking.

2. Overall Description

2.1 Product Functions

The system provides functionalities such as user
authentication, ticket search, dynamic
pricing, seat selection, booking confirmation, and payment
processing.

2.2 User Characteristics

Users include customers who book tickets and
administrators who manage ticket
availability, pricing rules, and system settings.

2.3 Constraints
The system must support high concurrency, dynamic price
updates, and secure
transactions.

3. Specific Requirements

3.1 Functional Requirements

1. Users must be able to register and log in.
2. Users must be able to search for available tickets.
3. The system must update ticket prices dynamically
based on demand and availability.
4. Users must be able to select seats and book tickets.
5. Users must be able to make secure payments.
6. Users must receive booking confirmation and e-tickets.

3.2 Non-Functional Requirements

1. The system must be available 24/7.
2. The system should handle at least 10,000 concurrent
users.
3. The pricing algorithm must update ticket prices in real-
time based on predefined rules.
4. Transactions must be secured using encryption
protocols.

4. Appendices
Any additional supporting information can be included
here.
