Function
This command is used to set the default control policy of whether to allow the user-side DHCP packet of
the service port to carry the option 82 information. The configured value will be used as the default control
policy of new traffic streams. Generally, in the same network scenario, the policy of whether to enable the
user-side DHCP packet to carry the option 82 information is the same. In the hybrid network scenario, run
this command to set the control policy that can be used for most scenario to reduce the setting times and
complexity.

Function
This command is used to enable or disable the DHCP option82 feature. The DHCP feature does not have
any mechanism for authentication or security. Thus, the DHCP feature encounters many security problems
when it is used in the network. To solve these problems, the DHCP option82 is introduced. After the DHCP
option82 feature is enabled, the BRAS can authenticate IDs of access users. After the DHCP option82

Usage Guidelines
The DHCP option82 can be configured at three levels: global level, port level, and VLAN level (configured
in VLAN service profile).
• In global config mode, run the vlan service-profile command to enter the VLAN service-profile mode.
• By default, the DHCP option82 at the global level is disabled, and the DHCP option82 at the port level
and VLAN level is enabled.
• To enable or disable a port, or enable the DHCP option82 transparent transmission feature for a port
on a board, ensure that the board is not a control board and is in the normal or offline state.
• The network-side and user-side DHCP packet processing policy depends on whether DHCP option82 is
enabled and whether the user-side DHCP packets are allowed to carry the option82 information on a
service port.
• The enabling status of DHCP option82 depends on the status with the highest priority. Priorities of all
levels of DHCP option82 are as follows: disable > rebuild > forward > enable. There are no priorities
between global configuration and port-based configuration of DHCP option82. When DHCP option82
is disabled for a port whereas it is enabled both globally and for the service flow, DHCP option82 is
disabled.
• Run the dhcp-option82 permit-forwarding service-port command to set whether user-side DHCP
packets are allowed to carry the option82 information on a service port. The policy of user-side DHCP
packet processing of MA5800 is as follows:

Principle for DHCP option82 based on Layer2 mode: In Layer2 mode, by default, the DHCP option82
feature of the device is disabled. In this case, the device does not capture DHCP packets. All DHCP packets
are broadcast or unicast freely in the VLAN and the interaction between the client and server is free from
any interference. If the DHCP option82 feature is enabled in Layer2 mode, related stream rules for
capturing DHCP packets will be added to each board and the LAN switch.
Principle for DHCP option82 based on Layer3 mode: Its principle is the same as that of the DHCP option82
feature in Layer2 mode. The device adds the extra option82 field to the packet when forwarding the
packet.
Example
To disable the DHCP option82 feature in global config mode on a trusted network, do as follows:
huawei(config-vlan-srvprof-10)#dhcp option82
{ disable<K>|enable<K> }:enable
Command:
dhcp option82 enable

This command is used to set the maximum length of a DHCP packet. After the DHCP Option82 feature is
enabled, to adapt to maximum transmission unit of the upper layer network, you can run this command.
After the maximum length of a DHCP packet is set successfully, if the DHCP packet exceeds the length, the
system transparently transmits the packet and does not perform the Option 82 processing for the packet.

set the working mode to user-defined.
• If you do not specify the working object, the setting takes effect on PITP P mode, DHCP option 82,
DHCPv6 option and ANCP.
• If the access mode is not specified and the format character string does not contain any keyword that
depends on the access mode, this command takes effect for all access modes. GPON boards use the
xPON access.
• If the raio-mode is set to cntel-xpon, the accesstype field carries EP, GP, XG, and XE.
• When you run the undo raio-format command, the CID and RID will be deleted if they are not
specified.
• If the CID is not defined when you set the RAIO format for PITP Pmode, DHCP option 82, DHCPv6

logicalslot Indicates a slot ID. When the system constructs the CID/RID, the Yes 4
logical slot ID is the slot ID of service boards (including the idle
service boards) that is numbered consecutively from 1 (for
example, the slot of the first service board is number as slot 1).
Slots of non-service boards (such as control board, upstream
board, and power board) are not numbered in this way.
subslot Indicates the ID of the daughter board slot. Currently, it is set to Yes 4
a fixed 0.
port+1 Indicates port ID + 1. When the system constructs the CID/RID, Yes 4
Port ID = Actual port ID + 1.
When the ANCP mode is the working object, the ancp port
begin command and the port+1 keyword take effect at the
same time. For example, if you use the port+1 keyword and also
run the ancp port begin command to set the start port ID to 1,
when the system constructs the CID/RID, Port ID = Actual port
ID + 2.
cvlanid Indicates the user VLAN. This VLANID is the user-side VLAN ID if Yes 4
the services carried on the user service port are differentiated by
user-side VLAN ID. Otherwise, this VLANID is invalid value.
vlanid Indicates the user-side VLAN ID if the services carried on the Yes 4

sprlabelhex Indicates the remote label of a subscriber service port. You can No 6
run the service-port remote-desc(profile-mode) command to set
this parameter. When the remote description is a MAC address,
this parameter indicates the MAC address in hexadecimal
format. For example, if the MAC address is 00E0FCD21122, it is
00 E0 FC D2 11 22 in packets. For other information, this
parameter value is null.
NOTE:
xpi When the network-side VLAN is a stacking VLAN, XPI is the Yes 4
network-side VLAN ID.
When the network-side VLAN is not a stacking VLAN, XPI is
always 4096.
xci When the network-side VLAN is a stacking VLAN, XCI is the Yes 5

MA5800 Product Documentation
Parameter Description
NOTE:
The ANIT here refers to the ANID of the OLT. In the BBF mode, no space is allowed in the ANID. If
the user packet carries user VLAN, the VLAN ID is user VLAN ID. Otherwise, the VLAN ID is left
empty.
bbf is used with the rebuild mode in different ways for different scenarios as follows:
In the DHCP DSLAM scenario, the rebuild mode is usually not used. When the rebuild mode is
used, the tag packet is rebuilt in the ETH mode based on the user access type.
In the DHCP FTTx scenario, when the rebuild mode is used, the tag packet is rebuilt in the xPON
mode.
In the DHCP FTTx scenario, when the rebuild mode is not used, the tag packet is rebuilt in the
ETH mode.
In the DHCPv6 scenario, the tag packet is rebuilt in the xPON mode.
brt Indicates the brt mode. The RID is null. The CID format is as follows:
ETH port: anid.slot.port
xPON port: anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid
cntel-xpon Indicates the CNTEL-XPON mode. The RID is null. The format is as follows:
ETH port: bporttype bslot/bsubslot/bport:xpi.xci anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port:axpi.axci
xPON port (FTTH): bporttype bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid
anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port/onuid accesstype
xPON port (FTTB): bporttype bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid
anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port/onuid
onuslot/onusubslot/onuportid:onuporttype/portxpi.portxci accesstype
NOTE:
For an Ethernet port, the value to be filled in "bporttype bslot/bsubslot/bport:xpi.xci" is determined
by the attribute of a network-side VLAN. The OLT fills in "anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port:axpi.axci"
with an actual value.
For an xPON port on an FTTH network, the BRAS or SR fills in "bporttype
bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid" with an actual value. When adding a tag, the OLT fills in
"bporttype bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid" with 0 and "anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port/onuid"
and "accesstype" with actual values.
For an xPON port on an FTTB network, the BRAS or SR fills in "bporttype
bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid" with an actual value. The MxU fills in
"onuslot/onusubslot/onuportid:onuporttype/portxpi.portxci" with an actual value (if the MxU does
not comply with the cntel-xpon mode to fill in the character strings, the OLT directly copies the
character strings that the MxU fills in). When adding a tag, the OLT uses the value of
"onuslot/onusubslot/onuportid:onuporttype/portxpi.portxci" set by the MxU to fill in "bporttype
bslot/bsubslot/bport:svlanid.cvlanid". The OLT fills in "anid/rack/frame/slot/subslot/port/onuid" and
"accesstype" with actual values.
cntel Indicates the CNTEL mode. The RID is null. The format is as follows:

Parameter Description
For an xPON port, the OLT fills in "anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid" with an
actual value.
common Indicates the common mode. The RID is null. The CID format is as follows:
ETH port: anid eth frame/slot/subslot/port:vlanid
xPON port: anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid
dslforum- Indicates the dslforum-default mode. The RID is null. The CID format is as follows:
default
ETH port: anid eth slot/port:vlanid
xPON port: anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid
ft Indicates the FT mode. The CID is the label of the service port and the RID is the remote
description of the service port.
port- Indicates the port-userlabel mode. In this mode, the CID carries not only the information
userlabel required by the common mode, but also the label of the user port, that is, the user-defined port
description. The description of a port can be configured by the port desc command. The RID
must also carry the label of the port.
CID format:
ETH port: anid eth slot02/port:vlanid
xPON port: anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid
RID format: plabel
service- Indicates the service-port-userlabel mode. In this mode, in addition to the information carried in
port- the port-userlabel mode, the RID carries the user-defined description of the traffic stream. The
userlabel description of a traffic stream can be configured by the service-port desc command.
CID format:
ETH port: anid eth slot02/port:vlanid
xPON port: anid xpon frame/slot/subslot/port:ontid.gemport.vlanid

Parameter Description
ti Indicates the TI mode. Its format is the modified CID default format.
The slot and port options in the default format must be converted into two bits and three bits
respectively, and 0 must be filled in when the length is shorter than the required length.
The port UserLabel is filled in for the RID.
CID format:
ETH port: anid eth frame/slot02/subslot/port03:vlanid04
xPON port: anid pon frame/slot02/port/ontid03:vlanid04
RID format:
ETH port: plabel
xPON port: ontlabel
user- Indicates the user-defined mode. The RAIO format configured by the raio-format(profile-mode)
defined command is used.
vnpt Indicates the vnpt mode. CID and RID formats are as follows:
ETH:
CID: anid eth frame/frame/frame/frame/slot/port:axci.vlanid
RID: null
xPON:
User assess in the ATM mode. CID: anid atm frame/slot/port/onuid/slot/port:vpi.vci
User assess in the ETH mode. CID: anid eth frame/slot/port/onuid/slot/port:axci.vlanid
RID: null
vnpt is used with the rebuild mode in different ways for different scenarios as follows:
In the DSLAM scenario, the rebuild mode is usually not used. When the rebuild mode is used, the
tag packet is rebuilt in the ATM mode or ETH mode based on the user access type.
In the FTTx scenario, the tag packet is rebuilt in the xPON mode.
dhcp- Specifies DHCP option 82 as the working object. When the MA5800 functions as a DHCPv4 relay
Option82 agent, use this parameter.
dhcpv6- Specifies the DHCPv6 option as the working object. When the MA5800 functions as a DHCPv6
Option relay agent, use this parameter.

Usage Guidelines
• In the global config mode, run the raio-profile command to enter the RAIO profile mode.
• If the RAIO profile is bound to a VLAN, the working mode takes effect in the RAIO profile mode.
Otherwise, the working mode takes effect in the global config mode.
• The ANCP working object cannot be configured in the current RAIO profile mode. If the RAIO profile is
bound to a VLAN, the ANCP working object uses the configuration of the global config mode.
• The working mode of the RAIO working object is controlled at the VLAN level and the global level.
The working mode takes effect only when it is enabled at both levels.
• By default, the mode of the ANCP working object is dslforum-default, and the mode of other working
objects is common.
• RAIO (relay agent information option) mainly includes the DHCP option 82, DHCPv6 option, ANCP
and PITP tag and RADIUS NAS-Port-Id. Because these Options have no standard definition, different
carriers may use different formats. To process different formats correctly, you must configure the
RAIO mode properly before enabling the DHCP option 82, DHCPv6 option, ANCP and PITP tag and
RADIUS NAS-Port-Id functions.
• You can set the RAIO working mode for PITP P mode, PITP V mode, DHCP option 82 , DHCPv6 option,
and ANCP or RADIUS NAS-Port-Id separately. If you do not specify the working object, the RAIO
working mode is set for all working objects.
• The RAIO working mode of PITP V mode can only be common, cntel, true, or user-defined. If you do
not specify the working object, the current working mode of PITP V mode changes to the common
mode (default mode) when you set the working mode to another mode. If you specify the PITP V
mode as the working object, the input working mode must be common, cntel, true, or user-defined.
• The DHCP option 82, DHCPv6 option, or PITP tag carried in the upstream packet varies with the RAIO
working mode. The device adds the corresponding user ID to the packets and then transmits the port
information about the access user to the BRAS. For example, the device adds the user information to
the Discovery and Request packets in the case of DHCP option 82, and adds the user information to
the PADI and PADR packets in the case of the PITP Tag.

1.1.2.18 raio-profile
Function
The raio-profile command is used to create a RAIO profile or enter the RAIO service profile. When the
profile does not exist, running this command means to create a RAIO profile and enter the configuration
mode of the profile. When the profile already exists, running this command means to directly enter the
configuration mode of this profile. You can run the vlan bind raio-profile command to bind the RAIO
profile to a VLAN to simplify the configuration procedure.
The undo raio-profile command is used to delete a RAIO profile. The RAIO profile that is already bound to
a VLAN cannot be deleted.
Format
Parameters

Usage Guidelines
• When you create an RAIO profile, default values for the parameters in the profile are the same as
their default values in global config mode. Run the display raio-profile command to query the
information about an RAIO profile.
• Parameters in an RAIO profile are independent of RAIO parameters in global config mode. If a VLAN
is bound to an RAIO profile, the parameters in the profile take effect. Otherwise, the RAIO parameters
in global config mode take effect.
• The RAIO profile that is referenced cannot be deleted. Run the undo vlan bind raio-profile command
to unbind the profile from a VLAN, and then delete the profile.
• The RAIO profile that is referenced can be modified. Modified parameters take effect immediately
after being modified.
Example
• ANID: iptv-10.10.10.10
• ANIP: meth 0
To add RAIO profile 3 and bind the profile to VLAN 100, do as follows:
