NAVIGATION BASICS
Activity 1.1 - Navigating Workday Pages
1. Navigate to the Worker Profile Menu. Click on and explore each of the available options
following the directions below. Note: Your screens will look different from the screenshots in
the Concepts PowerPoint due to security access. Everything a worker sees in Workday is
controlled by the configurable security setup in the tenant.
Home
o Try returning home using the home icon (accessed via the Worker Profile Menu)
or the Workday logo, too. This is the landing page for end-users, mangers, etc.
My Account
o This is used to reset your password or any account related help.
Workbench
o Click on the different available applications to view actions and reports. This is
the landing page for implementers.
Sitemap
o All the available reports and Tasks that you have access to will be available here.
Favorites
o Click on Manage Favorites and add the ‘Chicago (Location)' for Favorite Business
Objects.
Audit
o Click on the different available categories to view tasks and reports.
Drive
o This is Workday Drive and all the files or templates you have access to or you
have uploaded can be accessed here.
My Reports
o All the reports that you have downloaded will appear here.
Documentation
o Login to Workday Community using your login credentials. (This can be accessed
only by Workday Certified Consultants)
Search
5. Select the related action icon on Executive Management to view the Superior of the
supervisory organization.
Activity 1.2 – Adding Applications and Shortcuts
You can configure the Landing pages to display only applications providing you easy access to data
and tasks relevant to your day to day activities.
1. Navigate Home from the menu (click on the Workday icon or the home icon from your user
profile).
Scenario: The Accounting department has requested you to know if there are contingent workers
working in San Francisco. Use the Find Workers report to help them with their request.
1. In the Search bar enter Find Worker and select the report Find Workers report from the
results.
2. On the left-hand side you will see the faceted search options. Use the faceted values on the
left of the screen and select different facet values to see how search results update
accordingly.
3. Select up to five workers and click Compare to compare workers.
4. To save your selected facet values for future use, click Save (located to the right of Current
Search) and enter a name.
