1. Amelia Earhart:
a. Renowned American aviation pioneer
b. Born on July 24, 1897; disappeared on July 2, 1937.
c. First female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
2. Disappearance:
a. Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, went missing during their
attempt to circumnavigate the globe.
b. Last communication was on July 2, 1937, near Howland Island in the
Pacific.
c. Despite extensive search efforts, their plane (Lockheed Model 10 Electra)
was never found.
d. The disappearance remains one of the greatest mysteries in aviation
history, and various theories have been proposed about what happened to
Earhart and Noonan.
We found it?
• DEEP Sea Vision is a deep sea exploration company. The company claims to have
found Amelia Earhart's missing aircraft. Tony Romeo the CEO of Deep Sea Vision
sold commercial real estate to fund his deep-sea exploration of the Pacific Ocean in
2023

• A team of 16 people team of explorers & scientists found an anomaly in the ocean
(more than 16,000 ft underwater) using sonar imaging
o Sonar imaging - sound waves to measure the distance from the seabed to the surface

• 100-day search starting in September of 2023 --> 5200 square miles of the
seafloor scanned

• In December they reviewed the sonar data and saw a "fuzzy yellow outline"
