Speech for Anchoring at the 20th Annual Function of Sangam

School of Excellence

[Opening]

Good evening, respected Principal, esteemed guests, teachers,


parents, and my dear friends!

Welcome to the 20th Annual Function of Sangam School of


Excellence! Can you believe it? 20 years! That’s 20 years of hard
work, fun, excitement, and most importantly—growth. We’ve all
seen this school grow and flourish, just like the students here—
sometimes smarter than the teachers, but that’s okay!

I’m [Your Name], and I will be your anchor for tonight. And trust me,
I’ve been practicing my lines so much, that even Google Assistant is
jealous!

[Welcome of the Guests]

Let’s begin with the most important part—our special guests. A big
round of applause to all the wonderful people who’ve taken time out
of their busy schedules to join us today. We promise, after tonight,
you’ll think this was time well spent!

Please join me in welcoming our distinguished guests: [Guest Names


and Titles]. We are truly honored to have you with us tonight. Please
give them a warm welcome!

[Lamp Lighting Ceremony]

Now, it’s time to kick off this celebration with the lighting of the
lamp. You know, this is like the opening of a new chapter—kind of
like when we finally understand that chapter in math… and then
forget it the next day. But we’ll try to make sure the light of
knowledge stays with us tonight!

I request our Principal, Madam Madhu, along with our esteemed


guests to come forward to light the lamp and officially begin this
celebration. Let’s all stand in reverence as we begin this momentous
occasion!

[Behind the Scenes: Casting]

While we all enjoy the performances, let's not forget the hard work
behind the scenes. The lights, the set, the rehearsals, the nerves...
and trust me, there are always a few moments when the stage crew
can be heard saying, "Oh no! Where’s the prop?!?"

But in the end, everything comes together perfectly, thanks to the


team working tirelessly behind the curtains. So, let’s take a moment
to appreciate the unsung heroes of this event—the backstage team!
Let’s give them a big round of applause for all their efforts and
patience... especially with the actors who think they can perform on
stage without any practice!

[Orchestra Performances]

And now, it’s time to enjoy some music that’ll leave you in awe. First
up, we have our junior orchestra performing a special piece based on
the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.” It’s a message we all need to
hear loud and clear!

Following that, our senior orchestra will take the stage with a
beautiful composition on “Women Empowerment.” Get ready for an
experience that’ll make you want to get up and dance, though, we
politely request that you remain seated!
Let’s give our orchestra teams a big round of applause as they bring
these themes to life through their music!

[Principal’s Speech – Madam Madhu]

Wasn’t that fantastic? Our orchestra just proved once again that
music has the power to move hearts.

Now, it’s my honor to invite our Principal, Madam Madhu, to the


stage. She’s the one who keeps us all in check and makes sure we
don’t turn into complete chaos... most of the time. Let’s hear from
Madam Madhu, who will share her thoughts on this beautiful
journey of Sangam School of Excellence.

Please put your hands together for Madam Madhu!

[Play: Chacha Choudhary and Vikram Betal]

Next, we have a fun-filled play for you all. Who doesn’t love Chacha
Choudhary and Vikram Betal? We’ve all read the comics, and now,
get ready to watch the hilarious adventures unfold live on stage!

With a perfect blend of wit, wisdom, and a touch of mischief, our


students are all set to bring these iconic characters to life. Let’s see
what happens when Chacha Choudhary’s brains meet Vikram
Betal’s... supernatural tricks!

[Prize Giving Ceremony]

Now, moving on to one of the most awaited parts of the evening—


the Prize Giving Ceremony! This is where all the hard work, the late-
night studying, the “just one more episode” procrastination... finally
pays off!
It’s time to recognize the bright stars of our school who’ve excelled
in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. Mam riya and mam
shewta, will now present the awards to these brilliant students. Let’s
cheer for them as they come forward to receive their prizes!

[Play: A Boy 100 Years From the Future]

Next up, we take a trip 100 years into the future, where a young boy
finds himself in a world dominated by AI. But don’t worry, it’s not as
scary as it sounds—well, maybe a little bit!

This play is a glimpse into a future where technology has taken over,
and yet, the human spirit remains unbroken. It’s a powerful
commentary on the role of AI in shaping our world and what we can
do to keep our humanity intact. Get ready for a thought-provoking
and entertaining performance!

[Vote of Thanks by Vaidik, Nishka Garg, and Parth Joshi]

As we near the end of tonight’s celebrations, I’d like to invite three of


our talented students—Vaidik, Nishka Garg, and Parth Joshi—to
deliver the Vote of Thanks.

They say that the best speeches are the shortest ones, so we’ll keep
it short and sweet. But trust me, their gratitude will be as heartfelt as
ever!

[Closing]

Before we conclude, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone


involved in making this event possible—from the hardworking
students, the teachers, the staff, and of course, our wonderful
audience. This night would not have been the same without each
and every one of you.

Thank you once again for being a part of the 20th Annual Function of
Sangam School of Excellence. We hope you’ve enjoyed the
performances as much as we enjoyed presenting them to you. Have
a wonderful evening ahead, and don’t forget to tell your friends
