Information Sheet 2.1-1
All jobs require interaction with others at some point. Even if you are a
freelance writer who works solely online, you still need to build
relationships with them to have a fulfilling work environment and excel at
your job

Building strong work relationships is one of the most important aspects of
anybody's job. There are multiple reasons for this:
Effective Teamwork
When people get along in the workspace and work effectively as team
members, they are more productive. Improved productivity, in turn, leads
to increased job satisfaction and motivation.
If you have good working relationships with your colleagues, you don't
spend as much time handling interpersonal office challenges, so you can
focus on professional development. Having good working relationships
with senior staff also means that you can benefit from their knowledge
and learn from mentors.
Strong relationships at work can take time and patience, but it produces
excellent results. Here are some guidelines to follow when trying to
improve your working relationship:
Communicate Often

need it. Also, it is vital when building relationships that you act
consistently. Building the trust of your colleagues and team members
involves consistently acting in a trustworthy and supportive way.
Avoid Gossip
One of the best ways to forge good relationships with fellow workers is to
support them. If you are in a senior position, for instance, try to mentor
and educate junior staff as best you can. Always be complimentary toward
your coworkers and focus on their achievements as opposed to their
failures. By doing so, you will help to establish a culture of mutual support
and goodwill in the workplace and will gain the respect and support of
your co-workers.

Especially when on a team, the work that you complete directly affects
your coworkers. If you want to build positive relationships, one of the best
ways to do so is to produce quality work on time. This demonstrates not
only that you are professional and good at what you do but also that you
respect your co-workers and consider them when you perform your daily
duties

Information Sheet 2.2-1
Supporting Group Work Activities
Learning Objectives:
After reading this information sheet, you should be able to know the
importance of supporting group work activities.
If you are starting your career as a baker worker, then you should listen to
your bakery manager, because he knows how to get things done
professionally.
In order to accomplish one task, you require constant collaboration with your
peers and co-workers. When you are on the job site, you cannot just waste
your time on disagreements and doubts. Those who are able to
communicate and work with their co-workers can motivate them to make
sure the project gets finished on time.
If the nature of our work has changed, it is important to think about some of
the skills that will help us succeed in this different world. Here are nine
ways you can contribute more effectively to make the projects you
work on more successful, regardless of your specific role.

5. Ask questions. Projects can be complex. Don't be afraid to ask
questions to know more about any of the things mentioned above.
6. Communicate. Asking questions is communicating, but so is giving
updates. Checking in with others. Co-ordinating schedules.
7. Break it down. Take the big project steps and break them down into
definable tasks that you can get your hands around. By breaking the
tasks down the work won't feel so daunting, you will find the
interdependencies and you will be able to stay on track much more
successfully.
8. Look at the past. If a version of this project has been done in the
past, look for the lessons learned to improve your results this time.
Think to about other projects you have been involved in. Even if the
project was smaller or larger and the goals were very different, there
are likely lessons you learned that you can apply - things you did well
that you would want to repeat, and things you could have done better
that you can correct on this project.
9. Look to the future. Take a little time to document the best practices
and ideas that work for you during the project. Whether this is a formal
task for everyone on the project, or just your own notes to help you to
continuously improve, investing a little time now will make your
contributions to all future projects more valuable and efficient.
