TOPIC
Fertilization
Fertilization, also known as conception, occurs when a sperm unites
with a mature egg cell in the fallopian tube. This fertilized egg is now known as a zygote and eventually begins the cleavage process or splitting of cells until it now becomes a morula.
As it continues to grow, it eventually moves into the uterus and
implants there, marking the beginning of pregnancy.
