i.Fresh grapes contain 90% water, and dry grapes contains 85% matter. To get 25 kg of dry grapes who
many kgs of fresh grapes have to be processed? (3)

ii.The expenses of organizing a garden party increased from Rs.9000 to Rs.12000 when the number of
registered candidates increased from 25 to 40. Find the total cost of organizing the party if there are 50
final registrations. (2)

iii. If A:B=2:3, B:C=4:5, C:D=5:2, then A:D=? (2)

i. A certain amount was divided between Kavita and Reena in the ratio of 4:3. If Reena's share
was Rs.2400, the amount is : (3)

ii. The prices of a scooter and a television set are in the ratio 3:2 . If a scooter costs Rs.6000 more than
the television set, the price of the television set is : (2)

iii. The incomes of A and B are in the ratio 5 : 4 and their expenses are in the ratio 7 : 3. If each saves
Rs.1300, then find the income of A. (2)

i.Rs.5625 is divided among A, B and C so that A may receive 12 as much as B and C together receive,
B receives 14 of what A and C together receive. The share of A is more than that of B by ?

iii. Prasad sold his work tools for Rs. 1,850 and earned a profit of 25 per cent. At what price did Prasad

sold the refrigerator at a loss of 12 per cent and mobile phone at a profit of 8 per cent. What is her

iii. Manali purchased a car for Rs. 2,50,000 and sold it for Rs. 3,48,000. What is the per cent profit she
made on the car? (2)
4. A.
i. Divide the amount of Rs. 500 between P, Q, R, and S such that P and Q together get the thrice as
much as R and S together. Q gets four times of what R get and R gets 1.5 times as much as S. Now the
value that Q gets will be what? (2)

ii. Rs. 2250 is divided among three friends Ajay, Vijay, and Raj in such a way that 1/6th of Ajay’s
share, 1/4th of Vijay’s share and 2/5th of Raj’s share is equal. Find Ajay’s share. (3)

iii. After an increase of 7 in both numerator as well as the denominator, the fraction changes to 3/4.

iii. Cost of 3 cricket balls = cost of 2 pairs of leg pads. Cost of 3 pairs of leg pads = cost of 2 pairs of gloves.
