● Create a meaningful representation of data using Excel.

● Input dataset: provided (Monthly True Crime Podcast Listeners) into Excel.
● Create Charts:
A. Create a line chart to show the trends over time
- Select the given data (month, monthly podcast listeners)
- Click insert then line chart
- Personalize to your liking
B. Create a bar graph to compare monthly listener counts
- Select the given data (month, monthly podcast listeners)
- Click insert then bar chart
- Personalize to your liking
C. Create a scatter plot to analyze the patterns in listener growth
- select the given data (month, monthly podcast listeners)
- click insert then scatter plot
- Personalize to your liking
D. Create a histogram that displays how frequent different ranges of monthly podcast
listeners appear
- Go to files, click options, and add ins
- Click analysis tool pak then go
- Click data analysis the histogram and ok
- Select monthly podcast listeners for input range
- Select labels, new worksheet ply, and chart output and click ok
- Right click the bar and format data series, series option and make gap width 0 -
Personalize
E. create a box plot to summarize the distribution and identifies outliers
- select the given data (month, monthly podcast listeners)
- click data, then more scatter plots
- Select box and whiskers, ok
- Personalize
F. Create a heat map that showcase how often different ranges shows up (20,30,40,50)
- select the given data (month, monthly podcast listeners)
- go to home and conditional formatting
- Click new rule, and format only cells that contain
- Edit rule description into “cell value” and ”between” and add the ranges (ex.
20-29)
- Click format and choose green for the highest number
- Repeat process for other values and pick red for the lowest value
● Customize charts:
○ add proper titles, axis labels, and legends.
○ Format data labels for better readability.
