1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable


Development Goals (SDG) including their purpose, significance, and the interconnectedness
between them.
2. Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data, statistics, and case studies that support
their position on a chosen SDG.
3. Develop a clear and compelling argument that articulates their position on a specific SDG,
supported by logical reasoning and evidence.
4. Employ persuasive writing techniques to influence the audience's understanding and viewpoint
regarding the chosen SDG.
5. Produce a well-organized and polished position paper that adheres to academic writing
standards, including proper citations and formatting.

GENERAL DIRECTIONS:

1. The instructions for your Performance-based Assessment are written below. Read and comprehend the
situation and the requirement/s before drafting your output.
2. The “References” part should at least have two entries – ONE PRINT and NON – PRINT sources. A
sample entry is given below for you to imitate. Remember that whatever is found at the “References”/
“Works Cited” or “Bibliography” should also be present as in-text citations at the main essay.
3. The minimum number of words for this Performance Task is at 400 (excluding the Title and References
part) and the maximum is at 1500 words (excluding the Title and References part). Please proofread
your final position essay before saving it on a legal sized paper.
4. A separate document containing pertinent details and output sample will be provided.

paper regarding a significant societal issue aligned with any of the United Nations
(U.N.) Sustainable Goals. He should have well-supported claims by utilizing the

clippings and EBSCO articles.
