SAY THIS
I have eternal
life in me.
Hallelujah!
THE EASTER
HOLIDAYS, YOU
MEAN?
YES, TOBI.
I LOVE EASTER
CELEBRATION!
WELL, I DON’T.
IT REMINDS ME
OF THE SUFFERINGS
OUR LORD JESUS
CHRIST WENT
THROUGH.
ME TOO.
THAT’S WHY
I DON’T LIKE
WATCHING FILMS
DEPICTING THE
CRUCIFIXION.
CRUCIFIXION
BUT GUYS,
THE EASTER HOLIDAYS
AREN’T ALL GLOOMY AND
SAD. REMEMBER THAT
JESUS ALSO RESURRECTED
AT EASTER. THAT’S
4
SOMETHING TO BE
EXCITED ABOUT.
HMMMM…THAT’S
TRUE. OUR LORD
JESUS IS ALIVE
FOREVERMORE!
GLORY!
AMEN!
THAT SOUNDS
LIKE A HAPPY STORY,
AND NOT A
SAD ONE.
YOU’RE
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT,
MARY. IT’S A
STORY OF LOVE,
A STORY OF SACRIFICE,
A STORY OF COURAGE;
IT’S THE GREATEST
STORY EVER TOLD.
WOW!
NOW THAT YOU’VE
EXPLAINED IT BETTER,
I’M MORE EXCITED ABOUT
IT. PLEASE, TELL US MORE
ABOUT THIS STORY,
RICKY.
I THOUGHT
YOU’D NEVER ASK.
LISTEN CAREFULLY.

Jesus went everywhere,
preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom.
He was full of grace and truth,
and He displayed God’s love
everywhere He went.
‘‘For God so loved everyone,
that He sent His Son to save the world.”
77
8
From Galilee to Judea,
He preached the Good News.
As Jesus went from city to city,
He made new friends,
who became His disciples
disciples.
These men followed Him everywhere
as He healed the sick, opened blind eyes,
raised the dead and performed
other great miracles.

But it wasn’t everyone that loved
Jesus in spite of His good works.
The devil, being mean and wicked,
was also angry that Jesus was helping people.
So, he sought ways to stop Him and
His message.
13
The devil stirred up some of the
Jewish leaders against Jesus.
These men didn’t like His teachings,
or His good works.
So, they devised lies to have Him arrested.

Then, the chief priest,
some leaders and Judas Iscariot,
one of Jesus’ disciples, had a meeting
where they perfected a ploy to arrest
and deliver Jesus to the authorities.

Judas agreed to betray
His Master for money;
he was paid thirty pieces of silver.
But Jesus already knew
Judas would betray Him,
for it was part of God’s plan
to save the world.

Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own
love toward us, in that while we
were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Judas walked up to
Jesus while He was praying in
the Garden of Gethsemane and kissed Him.
This was the sign he used to betray Jesus.
Once the soldiers saw this,
they knew whom to arrest.

They arrested Jesus and took Him away.
They took Him to the high priest,
and later to Pontius Pilate, the Governor.
At all the trials,
they presented lies and false witnesses
to testify against Him,
all because they wanted to get rid of Him.

The Governor brought Jesus
before the people, and asked them,
“What should I do with Jesus?”
They shouted, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
“What wrong has He done?”
he asked them.
31
31
The people didn’t answer
but shouted even louder,
“Crucify Him!”
When Pilate saw they were
unwilling to change their minds,
even after Jesus was beaten,
he handed Jesus over to the people
to do as they wished.
“Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
the evil men shouted still.

Jesus, the Son of God,
suffered all manner of insults and pain.
He didn’t complain nor was He angry.
Like a sheep to be slaughtered
slaughtered,
they led Him away to be nailed to the cross.

So, Jesus died,
and His body was laid in a tomb
tomb.
On the first day, nothing happened.
The second day, yet nothing happened.
But on the third day,
an amazing thing happened!
A great earthquake shook the whole
garden where the tomb was,
and an angel of God rolled away
the stone used to seal the tomb.
Jesus has risen and He is alive forevermore!

DID FOR US AT EASTER. NOW, WE KNOW

TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL
SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. MUCH MORE
THEN, HAVING NOW BEEN JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD,
WE SHALL BE SAVED FROM WRATH THROUGH HIM...
AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT WE ALSO REJOICE
IN GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST,
THROUGH WHOM WE HAVE NOW
RECEIVED THE RECONCILIATION”
(ROMANS 5:8-11).
HALLELUJAH!
