Application Letter
Dear Ma’am/Sir:
Greetings! I am humbly applying for the Elementary Teacher position at your prestigious
institution. As a passionate educator from the San Luis, Pugo, La Union, I am dedicated to
helping students develop confidence and proficiency in the English language. With a strong
academic background and hands-on teaching experience, I am eager to contribute to a learning
environment that nurtures curiosity, inclusivity, and growth.
I graduated Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English - Cum Laude from Saint Louis
University in Baguio City, where I built a solid foundation in education. My training included an
extensive teaching internship in both public and private schools where I handled with students of
different grade levels. These experiences allowed me to adapt my teaching methods to suit
diverse learning styles and classroom dynamics.
In January 2025, I earned my professional teaching license after passing the Licensure
Examination for Professional Teachers - September 2024. Currently, I work as an online ESL
teacher, guiding Chinese students of varying proficiency levels. This role has strengthened my
ability to create engaging and flexible lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs. On
weekends, I also work as a private tutor for a child with a disability, which has deepened my
commitment to inclusive education and personalized instruction.
My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to express
themselves and take ownership of their learning. I believe in integrating interactive teaching
strategies and technology to make lessons more engaging and effective. More importantly, I
strive to inspire a genuine love for learning that students can carry with them beyond the
classroom.
I would love the opportunity to bring my skills and enthusiasm to your team. I have attached my
resume for your review and would be happy to discuss how I can contribute to your institution’s
goals. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Shy Ann J. Sixto
