SECTION 3: COMPOSITIONS
TASK: Write a composition of at least 200 words on ONE of the following topics
1) The use of mobile phone has become a serious matter in the society nowadays. Imagine that
you are the President of the Youth Club of your school. Write a speech about new technologies seen
as a serious poison to young people in school. This speech will be presented during the Youth Week in Lycée
de Batcham.
Lay out:
- Greetings from the highest authority to your mates;
- 3 paragraphs;
-End with “long live……/long live…..”
Introduction: thank your audience and give the reason of your speech;
Body: Define the topic (new technologies) and then present its uses; show how useful it can be for students.
Then, show how it is wrongly used by student (how poisonous it can be)
Conclusion: Give advice on the usefulness of ICTs for students.

3) Your name is JOSITO, a student in college LULU. You live in a country where many young

6) All the people of your village believe that boys and girls must not be given equal education, in accordance
with their tradition. Write a letter to the chief of your village to convince him and the villagers that things have
changed and that all children are now equal and should be given equal opportunities and rights at home and
