Engagement of Graduate & Technician Apprentices under Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as apprentices under The
Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 (as amended from time to time) at Institute for Plasma Research, an
Aided Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. It provides one year Apprentice
training to Engineering/General Stream candidates as per the Government of India guidelines.

Monthly Stipend during training:


 ₹13500/- p.m. (Consolidated) for Graduate Apprentices (Degree holder).
 ₹12000/- p.m. (Consolidated) for Technician Apprentices (Diploma holder).

Period of Training:
The duration of the apprenticeship is one year for all apprentices. The Institute shall have no
obligation to give regular employment to apprentices. The apprentices shall have no right to claim
regular employment from Institute on the basis of this apprenticeship at any point of time.

How to Apply:
Candidates have to register on portal of Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) i.e.
https://nats.education.gov.in. Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria for
engagement as Apprentice Trainee may submit their online application at

General Instruction

1. Candidates who have passed Degree / Diploma in year 2022 or before are not eligible to apply.

2. Before applying, candidates must register on the NATS portal


(https://nats.education.gov.in/) and get a valid registration number.

3. Those who have already attended the apprenticeship training elsewhere will not be considered.
4. Wherever CGPA/ SGPA or letter grade is awarded; equivalent percentage of marks should be
indicated in the online application form as per norms adopted by the University/Institute.
Candidates would be required to produce CGPA to Percentage conversion formula of their
Institute/University at the time of document verification.
5. Selection will be solely on merit based on percentage of marks in respective Degree/ Diploma
in engineering/Non –Engineering. Any form of canvassing will result in cancellation of
candidature.
6. The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with the provisions of the Apprentices
Act 1961 and 1973 (as amended from time to time) and Apprenticeship Rules 1992.
7. Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Birth Certificate / Secondary School Leaving
Certificate (SSLC)/ Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate shall be the only acceptable
Document in support of proof of age.
8. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on IPR website.
9. The candidature of the selected applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent
verification of certificates/ testimonials, medical fitness etc.
10. Accommodation facility will not be provided to apprentices during the apprenticeship
period. The apprentices shall make their own arrangement for accommodation.
11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending physical verification of documents or at the time of
Commencement of the apprenticeship.
12. At any stage of the selection process, if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or
Incorrect information, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled.
13. Incorrect / Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be
Entertained with the candidates.
14. Addendum / deletion/ corrigendum (If any) shall be posted on the Institute’s website only i.e.
https://www.ipr.res.in/documents/jobs_career.html
15. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the Institute’s website for getting the informationabout
the apprenticeship training.
16. The apprentice after completion of the training shall have no right to claim anyemployment
in IPR.
17. IPR will carry out all correspondence through email only and no postal correspondencewill
be sent.
