Note: Patches require access to an entitlement with active support. If the patch is not
available for download, please contact support to have a licensing/non-technical service
request opened to validate your entitlements.

Installation Procedure:
Download the patch (ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136.zip) and extract the contents to
a temporary folder.

Note: Sometimes downloaded "ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136.zip" will be blocked.


Unblock it by "right click on file>Properties", under "security" section, click on "unblock"
button and "Apply" it.

Enabling windows 11 21H2 support on Managed devices, refer section "Methods to Apply FTF
for Managed Devices"
Enabling windows 11 21H2 support on IOA devices, refer section "Methods to Apply FTF for
IOA Devices"

Methods to Apply FTF for Managed Devices:

Method 1: Using Bundles (Allows patching of managed devices already updated to ZCM
20.2.0)

NOTE: This method will automatically reboot the devices post patching.

Extract the contents of the zip "ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136.zip" and copy the


bundles folder to a temporary path.
Execute the following command on one of the primary servers to create the bundle.
zman bc ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136_Windows
ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136_Windows.xml -a
ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136_Windows_ActionContentInfo.xml
Once the bundle ZCM_20.2.0_FTF_Agent_Defect_278136_Windows is created, assign the
bundle to all the managed devices that are already updated to ZCM 20.2.0

Method 2: Manually Replace (Allows patching of managed devices already updated to ZCM
20.2.0)

Stop the Agent service (How to Stop Services on Agent)


Linux Devices: systemctl stop novell-zenworks-xplatzmd.service

Windows Devices: From the Windows desktop Start menu, click Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click Administrative Tools > Services.
Stop the service: Novell ZENworks Agent Service

Take a reliable backup of the existing files


"%ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin\zmd.dll"
"%ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin\ZenNative.dll"
"%ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin\ZenCollectorHWCollectionFramework.dll"
"%ZENWORKS_HOME%\bin\ZenCollectorUtility.dll"

Copy the below files from bundles folder to its corresponding above location.
"zmd.dll"
"ZenNative.dll"
"ZenCollectorHWCollectionFramework.dll"
"ZenCollectorUtility.dll"

NOTE: Please copy the appropriate "ZenNative.dll" file from the below location:
bundles/ZenNative.dll - for x86 devices
bundles/x64/ZenNative.dll - for x64 devices

Restart the managed device as below:


Linux Devices: systemctl start novell-zenworks-xplatzmd.service

Windows Devices: From the Windows desktop Start menu, click Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click Administrative Tools > Services.
Start the service: Novell ZENworks Agent Service
