1. Define word Processing?
Word processing is a process of typing editing formatting and printing text document. 2. Define word processor? Word possessor is a type of application software it provides useful tools for creating all kinds of text documents. You can create any type of letters and application etc. 3. List some uses of word Processor. Preparing Application Preparing resumes Preparing notice Writing Books Writing Letters 4. Define formatting? The process of defining the appearance of a document is called formatting. It includes the different tasks such as changing font and size of text, applying border etc. 5. What is Paragraph Formatting? Formatting that is applied to complete paragraph is called paragraph formatting. It includes text alignments, line spacing and bullets and numbering. 6. What is Page Formatting? Formatting that is applied to complete page is called page formatting. It includes page size, page orientation, page margin and header and footer. 7. Define Alignment? Alignment is the position of text with respect to the document's left and right text can be aligned left, center, right or justified. 8. Define Mail Merge? Mail merge is used to merge text from one file into another file. It is very useful to generate many files that have same format but different data. 9. Define Table? A table consists of columns and rows. The calls are formed where columns and rows intersect each other. The cell contains data or information. 10. Define Font In MS Word? Appearance of text in document is called font or type face. You can change font of all or selected text to improve read ability. 11. Define Header And Footer? Header is used to display text or images on the top of each page. It includes the documents title and page number. Footer is used to display text or image on the bottom of the page every page. 12. Difference between save and save as? Save command saves the document on disk on first use. If it is used again, it updates the file if there were any changes. Save as command is used to save a copy of the command with different name and locations. 13. How does Undo and Redo command are used? Undo command is used to remove the effect of last action. If there is any error in typing or some text is deleted by chance than you can use undo Command and Redo command is used to remove the effect of undo command. 14. What is Clipboard Clipboard is used to temporarily store data that is being copied or moved. It is used to store text sound video and graphics data. 15. What is word Art? Word art is used to create stylish text in variety of shapes. It provides the facility of coloring and shading text. 16. Define Page Margin and Page Size The page margin in word processor is used to specify the amount of space between the text and edge of page such as Top left right bottom etc. Page size is used to specify the length and width of page. 17. Difference between cut and copy command Cut command moves text from one place to another. The selected text is moved from its position and copy to clipboard. Copy command copies the text and from one place to another. The selected text is not moved from its position. 18. Define Text Editor Text editor is a simple word processor that is used to type and edit text. Different word processor provides different facilities. Notepad and word pad are examples of text editor. 19. Difference between Line Spacing and Paragraph Spacing The white space between two adjacent lines is called line spacing. Line spacing can be changed to increase readability of text. The white space before and after paragraph is called paragraph spacing 20. Why is the Thesaurus in MS word The thesaurus is used in ms word to find synonyms. The synonyms are the alternative word for the selected word. 21. What is WYSIWYG WYSIWYG stands for what you see is what you get. It means that a document appears in the word processor exactly as it would be printed on paper. 22. Difference between Delete and Backspace? The delete key erases the character on the right side of the cursor. The backspace key erases the character on the left side of cursor. 23.
