10. A copper wire having a diameter of 0.5 mm and resistivity of 1.6 × 10–8 Ω m. What will be the length of the
wire to make its resistance 10 Ω? How much will the resistance change if the diameter is doubled?
11. A wire has a resistance of 16 Ω. It is melted and drawn into a wire of half its original length. Calculate the
resistance of the new wire. What is the percentage change in its resistance?
12. Calculate the resistance of a metal wire of length 2m and area of cross section 1.55 × 10 6 m², if the resistivity
of the metal be 2.8 × 10-8 Ωm
