The clothes I wear at work, at home, and when I'm out with my friends are all very different. When
I'm at work, I wear business casual clothes. I always try to look professional. When I'm out with my
friends, I enjoy wearing my more fashionable, trendy clothes and love not having to worry about any
dress codes. At home, however, my first priority for clothes is comfort! I have no concern for fashion
at all when I'm at home just relaxing.
—---------------------------------------------------------------
Where as many of my friends buy a lot of flashy clothes they wear only a few times, I choose to buy
clothes that I know I will always love. Like my friends, I don't mind spending a lot of money on
clothes. However, I only buy clothes that I know will be timeless. Some of my friends like to
constantly change their entire wardrobes, but I prefer to update mine slowly and to be more
selective with what I buy.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------
The similarities and differences between my own style and my mom’s style can be in our
preferences for casual wear and our tastes for formal occasions.

First, I prefer funky, trendy clothes that are comfortable. For instance, hoodies, loose jeans, sandals,
maybe I can also wear a parka. Similarly, my mom also likes comfort but she opts for more classic
pieces, such as solid plain t-shirts, solid pants and solid shirts. Although, she always told me that I
wear a frumpy style but I hope she was joking. I believe she appreciates my unique sense of
fashion. I prefer to wear modern and attractive clothes, but unconventional.

In contrast, for formal events, I usually wear clothes that do not attract too much attention, solid
colors and elegant clothes, such as sequined dresses or black evening gowns for dinner meetings,
and solid long sleeved dresses. These choices reflect my self-confidence. On the other hand, my
mom's formal style is more conservative and elegant too. She typically goes for subdued tones like
a little black dress or a classic blazer. Unlike me, she believes in the power of simplicity and often
says that less is more when it comes to fashion.

Topic 1: Face Slapping
Grover: Yeah, I have. It’s a technique where practitioners slap or massage the face to supposedly
improve circulation and tighten the skin. But honestly, it sounds quite questionable.

Grover: Exactly. Besides the physical risks, it’s also important to consider the lack of scientific
evidence supporting this method. Relying on such unproven techniques can lead to wasted time and
resources.

Grover: Additionally, we should consider the financial aspect. Many people might spend a lot of
money on these treatments, thinking they are effective, only to face skin problems that could incur
even more expenses.

Topic 2: Swiss Chocolate

Grover: Yeah, I have. It’s a method where chocolate is applied to the skin, claiming benefits like
moisturizing and anti-aging effects. But honestly, it sounds a bit dubious.

Grover: Exactly. Besides the physical risks, it’s also important to consider the impracticality and
messiness of this treatment. There are more effective and cleaner ways to achieve skin benefits.

Grover: Additionally, we should consider the financial aspect. Many people might spend a lot of
money on these treatments, thinking they are effective, only to face skin problems that could incur
even more expenses.

Topic 3: Tapeworm Express

Grover: Yeah, I have. It’s a weight-loss method where people swallow a pill containing a tapeworm
larva. It’s supposed to help you lose weight by consuming some of the food you eat. But honestly, it
sounds really dangerous.

Grover: Exactly. Besides the health risks, it’s also important to consider the ethical implications.
Promoting such extreme and harmful methods for weight loss can contribute to unhealthy body
image issues and eating disorders.

Grover: Additionally, we should consider the financial aspect. Many people might spend a lot of
money on these treatments, thinking they are effective, only to face health problems that could incur
even more medical expenses.
